Isn't it "funny" how Western countries don't deploy soldiers to Ukraine or at least destroy rockets because it would be an "escalation" to defend Ukraine in Ukraine but North Korean soldiers already in Russia? Nobody cares!

North Korean soldiers soon in Ukraine? Maybe a short statement from Western leaders that this is not ok and one or two articles in news papers and nothing more will happen.

I guess even Putin would've never believed how easy it is just to get soldiers from other countries to destroy Ukraine. He tested it the last years how the West reacts to different things and the West pretty much showed him that he can do whatever he wants without fearing anything except losing men on Ukrainian ground but obviously only against Ukrainian soldiers.

The West is even more laughable as Putin's red lines. He at least has some even though he didn't nuke us yet but the West doesn't even say what their red lines are.

Stealing Ukrainian kids, executing people even with drones filming it, using Iranian and North Korean weaponry or even sending North Korean troops into Ukraine doesn't seem to be a reason for USA, Italy, Germany and so on to say enough is enough.

Ukraine just doesn't have enough soldiers or even enough weapons left to defend against all this.

All these years of peace have made those in Western Europe and America absolutely terrified to make even the slightest bit of an uncomfortable decision out of fear that their cosy lives will be ruined. Eastern Europe has fear too but they use their fear to take this seriously, they know what Russia is like, they have more experience than all of us in America and Western Europe with Russia's atrocities and so they use their fear to fight back, us in Western Europe and America use our fear to cower and try to negotiate with Hitler the 2nd.

And America, France, UK, Germany have their secret meetings because they think countries like Poland, The Baltics, etc. Are too "aggressive" or "escalatory" so they exclude them entirely. It's utterly pathetic. Funny thing is, we never had "peace" just the illusion of it, as we looked the other way while Russia committed hybrid war on our countries in the forms of influencing our elections, assassinating people in our countries, sabotaging military facilities and storages, trying to assassinate CEOs of arms manufacturers.

I thought this what Zalzhnyi said was spot on.

8. This fact of reality already applies to all of us in this room. It already concerns each of you. Please tell me, is it a secret today that China, North Korea, and Iran are united around Russia? Does anyone think that they are united against Ukraine? If so, let me be the first to doubt it. Most of these countries do not even know where Ukraine is. And if you look closely at an organization like the BRICS, and especially at its prospects, it will expand. And what about the collective West? Is it still afraid of escalation?

Does America think that North Korea will be fighting alongside Russia just for fun? Do they think North Korea even fucking knows who Ukraine are? No, the only reason North Korea is joining this fight is because they see Ukraine as America and they want to destroy all things America. They will fight in Ukraine becauswe they hate America, not because they hate Ukrainians, they don't have a fucking clue about Ukrainians but all they see is "America backing them" and that's enough for them to join up with Russia, plus whatever Russia gives in them in exchange, which will be used to threaten South Korea. If North Korea's reason for getting involved is their hatred of America then this is very much America's battle too.

On one hand I want Ukraine to deplore Russia using these troops as a way to get the United States to concede on the use of long range missles. But the logical side of my brain realizes that with the current rate of Russian casualties, that these 12k troops will only last 9 days or so. They are essentially meaningless in the big picture..

1710 soldiers? wow, is russia starting to fall apart?

It's a bit concerning how close the referendum was, there was a lot of Russian misinformation operations to turn people against the EU and there was even straight up paying people to vote against it, seems like it had a decent impact, if no won I would have obviously accepted it and moved on because we're not Russia and we don't invade people for not wanting to be in our non-aggressive group but I also feel a bit wary about inviting another member into EU who may be easily suspectable to Russian misinformation cause I don't want another Hungary in EU, Lol. On the flip side it seems like Sandu is very pro-Europe/Ukraine so we'll have to see how the 2nd round of elections go, her opponent did better than polls predicted.

On the flip side.

In a statement to Moldovans, Sandu said late on Sunday that there was "clear evidence" that criminal groups working together with foreign forces hostile to Moldova's interests sought to buy off 300,000 votes, something she called "fraud of unprecedented scale".

Despite all of Russia's bullshit, including literally paying off voters (Elon Musk style), the YES still won, says to me that YES is very likely passionate about this issue whilst those bribed would only be voting NO because they were bribed, they wouldn't have any strong feelings one way or another. They just want the money, so it makes the YES win a little better in that context despite the slim margin.

Yeah as much as I understood, not only her biggest opponent is pro-Russia but the other ones as well so that the votes they got will mostly go to her biggest opponent. And like you said, even if they will be part of the EU anytime, there will be always the risk for the next  decades that some dude will be elected who will do everything to be like cancer for the EU as much as Hungary is now.
