This is a bit of a side effect of both the sanctions and Russia switching to war economy: Russia is basically scrapping most of it's commercial sector to fuel it's war economy, and as a result Russians in general are getting poorer, and the only reliable good income for many of them right now is to become soldiers.

The question is how long Russia can keep this up before tanking their economy. Russia already has full employment and factories find it increasingly difficult to find new trained workers.

Russia is slowly running out of Tanks, and especially the T-80B/BV variants:

Out of ~1200 visible good tanks before the war now less than 300 T-80 are still left. The T-72 meanwhile drops further and further in prominence on the battlefield, as their ratio in the Russian army keeps dropping in favor of other models, especially the T-62.

Not all of those are getting destroyed in Ukraine though: Russia is upgrading the T-80 B/BV to T-80 BVM standard, so naturally they are getting pulled from storage for repair and upgrade to this end.

But this all forces Russia to increasingly rely on their ancient tank models, as in the T-62 and T54/55, with the former alse getting upgrades. And while Russia built a lot of those tanks, their supply isn't endless, especially of tanks that old that are still in running order...

Absolutely bonkers Trump can say shit like he'll let Russia slaughter America's allies (we're talking men, women and children) if America's allies don't spend 2% of their own GDP on their own militaries but Trump doesn't say it like that, he says that they aren't "paying their bills" which implies that NATO allies owe America something (they don't) and is his attempt to turn his dumb ass fanbase against NATO.

He can also say shit like he spoke to Putin and Putin told him his dream was to invade Ukraine and nobody is batting an eyelid, the news sites are too busy screaming about Biden's fucking age, is anyone investigating when Putin told Trump this? Was it before or after Trump attempted to blackmail Ukraine for dirt on Biden? Did Trump tell the relevant people of Putin's "dream", did he withhold critical security information from an ally?
