Forums - Politics Discussion - Russia and Ukraine flashpoint

At this point it seems very likely that nothing short of a Russian military operation in a NATO country will make NATO countries take this as seriously as they should. Escalation management has already proven to be ill-advised for two years running, but there's still too many who believe that it will work eventually.

Seriously, I question lately if some western countries would even send troops in to protect the Baltics from a Russian invasion, that's how much NATO's weakness and escalation management is making me jaded and Russia doesn't even have to do that, all they need to do is rile up some Russians in certain Baltic regions close to Russia's border, send in the "little green men" who suddenly start demanding independence from the country.

Omg! UK is about to be nuked! We're doomed! I'm already a Ghoul! /s.

Finally. Also "Potentially" Peskov

Would you look at that cowardly statement from Russia, example #1000 of their threats being paper thin.

Rare UK W.

I fucking LOVE how UK keeps calling Russia's bluff and Russia does nothing.

ATGMS, MBTS, Long-Range Missiles, Targets Inside Russia.

Although...I still have small doubt in my mind, I will have to see a Storm Shadow in Russia first.

Ever heard of 2 girls, one cup? Well, now it's 3 missles, 100 soldiers. 100 soldiers have been taken off of the payroll, permanently.  And just like the throwback reference, the missles have now left a disgusting mess.

I for one see no reason for joy as long as we are hearing "as long as it takes."

There were plenty of baby steps made along the way of the last two years, but a coherent and clear goal to make this war come to an end eventually is still absent. Nevertheless, the UK deserves credit for being commonly the first country to cross a red line.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

The Russians have pulled their planes farther back from the front lines after news of the ATACMS delivery. Which means less targets for Ukraine but less responsiveness for when they want to sortie against Ukraine. Once the F-16s are in force, they will have domiance over the battlefield because Russia won't be able to attack the F-16s as readily as they would have liked. 2025 will be very different.

And my favorite military YT channel,  blinkovs battlegrounds, analyzes the ukraine situation and says that their position may continue to degrade despite help from the United States, watching now.
