What are tanks supposed to do if they are still not used when Russia attacks another European country and would attack many more if they succeed? Are those tanks all supposed to look good in the inventory or something? Eastern European countries give like everything they have and just have to hope to get defended by other countries in case Russia would win against Ukraine and then you have real military powers who are like "nahh, we can't give this or that". Sry, it's just laughable for me. The only country which would attack France is Russia so you can also use your tanks in Ukraine, you don't have to wait until Russia is knocking on your boarder.

And nobody is asking for everything. Give them 10% of what you have.

They worried about the alien invasions lol.

TBH if that ever happened just shows how screwed we are base on how slowly we produce weapons.

However ignoring the crazy scenario I mentioned, 100% right, give them the tanks. It would be far cheaper to stop Russia in Ukraine then having to fight in your own backyard ad then having to rebuild the cities. That is how stupid most politicians are. They don't think of the long term bigger picture just the 2-3 years they are in government for their term.

Here's hoping Russia is hit back by Ukraine, and that Ukraine hits hard.

“Near Kremenna a tragic incident took place in one of the divisions mustered there for an offensive. People stood in a crowd for two hours in one place and waited for the divisional commander to give his motivational speech,” reported Rybar, a war blog with close links to the Russian military.

The crowd was hit by “Ukrainian Himars and artillery” before the general showed up, Rybar reported.

If confirmed, that would make it the worst single casualty incident suffered by Russian forces since a Himars strike on a school being used as a barracks near Donetsk on New Year’s Eve.

Gathering hundreds of troops, waiting for a speech, within range of HIMARS.

What could go wrong.

They're not only warmongers, they're idiots. What a combo.

A great video recapping the last few weeks of developments

Donor Nations Providing Security Assistance, Training for Ukraine > U.S. Department of Defense > Defense Department News

Training of Ukrainian forces is currently underway in about 40 training sites outside of Ukraine, said a senior Canadian defense official. Thus far, about 67,000 Ukrainians have received training from 33 nations on tactics, weapon systems and leadership development at those sites.

Two premier training sites, Hohenfels and Grafenwoehr, are in Germany, said a senior U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command official.

Training Ukrainian forces on Stryker and Bradley Fighting Vehicles recently concluded and Ukrainians are now receiving training on the Abrams M1A1 tank, which will likely conclude by the end of summer the official said.

The Ukrainians first receive platform training, which includes operating and maintaining the systems they'll be using. Training then progresses to maneuver warfare, including force-on-force, which is as close to real combat as one can get, the official said.

Types of training required is dictated by what the Ukrainians say they need and feedback from the situation on the ground, the official said, making it hard to predict what new training will be needed more than a few months out.

The official said the American and other multinational trainers are passionate about their work and the skills the Ukrainians master over a very short timeframe is amazing.

Separately, Austin, spoke by phone yesterday with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov to discuss priorities for tomorrow's Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Brussels, which will focus on bolstering Ukraine's air defense and other near-term capability priorities, as well as training and sustainment to enhance Ukraine's enduring strength over the long term.
