A popular milblogger, currently near Svatove, writes: "There will be no good news in the near future. Neither from the Kherson front, nor from Luhansk...There is no longer any strength left to hold [the "liberated" villages]. Why is that? Because there are not enough people."

The plan (apparently) is to retreat to where the Dnipro River narrows, around 75km from Kherson, and try and fortify a new frontline.

If those Russian channels are correct, this week could see a pretty significant reduction in the area Russia controls.
Russian fighter in Svatove describes the situation in the town, says the majority of civilians have left it. Alleges that Russian units are gathering in Svatove-Starobelsk-Kreminna triangle, for a "possibility of a counter-attack".https://t.co/F3tAzomclx pic.twitter.com/wtY6uHA89O

Witness a steady diet of upside-down propaganda fed to the Russians: head of RT claims the West is supposedly trying to "colonize & enslave" Russia and other countries. A little rant from Rybar, responding to a "https://t.co/AyvZwXlcmw" telegram channel which called the northeast of the Rus. Kherson group "a small unimportant ledge". Quite the opposite, it was important for future offensives to a number of locations.https://t.co/v5D09LPRpG pic.twitter.com/HTD2wXWvrp

Top pro-Kremlin propagandist is despondent because of Russia's defeats in Ukraine. He refuses to be cheered up even by Elon Musk's insertion into the timeline of propaganda. Speaking of Elon Musk…
I’m fairly sure, by his Twitter comments, that he thinks this is a proxy war between the US and Russia rather than Ukraine defending its sovereignty and citizens against a murderous Russian invasion. The guy is good at running Theranos-like corporations. It’s a shame he has any influence in other areas because he’s shit-brained when it comes to politics, world events, and human decency.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I hope this also leads to introspection about the dangers of giving one person so much power. Rally behind the flag/leader is an old fashioned concept that needs to be done away with. What if a Putin type gets control of China or the USA next...
And also, get on with getting rid of nuclear weapons, why are they still around (about 13,000 of em). Probably because Russia still has the most (on paper) and without the threat of USA's retaliation, no doubt Putin would have been tempted to use them. However after Russia collapses, get rid of all that crap.

That is pretty much how Stalin perfected Russian military in his time. Stalin would regularly cull his officer's ranks by looking:
a) what officer shows own ideas? - if an officer had better idea than him, the officer was instantly toasted.
b) who has contradicted me? - see a) for the result.
This led to the Russian military as we have it now. Noone is going to show any initiative, everyone waits for orders from above, through all levels.
You have probably all seen videos of North Korean officers writing down every word that Great Leader speaks into their pocket books. If they can't repeat them ad verbatim later, see a) or b) above. Same principle.
