I already say sorry for Ukraine before Trump will meet with Putin. Trump's shit talking over months with his "two more weeks" and "next time Putin won't get away with it" just to give Putin more time to take even more from Ukraine and to be able to say now "see Ukraine needs to give land away for peace because they stand no chance" instead of giving Ukraine more weapons the last half year.

In reality everything Trump did was helping his friend while trying to hide it with telling the opposite. And I bet Putin could drop some bombs about Trump and his family and their business in Russia the last decades so that Trump would never destroy Putin. 

I'm hoping that Trump will be unfit for office within a year or two ( b /c of progressing dementia).  If so, then JD Vance may feel pressure to go along with the rest of the world and support ukraine.  Even though he is a bit scummy himself, he seems more pragmatic than trump.

Vance doesn’t exactly strike me as leadership material though.
He was appointed VP due to his lackey qualities. Those types don’t typically have what it takes to step up and are found wanting when they do. He is also very opposed to aiding Ukraine.

That was kind of my point though. He might be too weak to make a deal with Russia bc he wants to be elected again. It would seem more beneficial to have a more moderate course of action thar could appeal to almost everyone.

We've had multiple "2 week" deadlines, we've had the "August" deadline. Now Trump said he wouldn't be happy if he came out of this meeting without any sort of deal or ceasefire, they didn't get a deal, nothing else was announced, not even questions from press were allowed, all he achieved is a "maybe" meeting at Moscow. Lets see if the big scary consequences deadline has once again been delayed.

America rolled out the red carpet for Putin, a wanted war criminal, who is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands and got fuck all in return. supposedly, the talks discussed the terms of this peace agreement, however the whole discussion lasted only 3 hours..... the news media is saying that putin's health is very bad and he didn't want to get sick or whatever.  Also, putin wants more mineral deals and trump is also offering that to putin to incentivize a deal being made.  But Ukraine wants Europe to get in on the deal being made so that they can hold trump to task for surrendering ukraine.  

I suppose it is now ukraine's turn, to sit back and look at whatever offer has been made.  Perhaps they can use the recent issue with the breakthrough around the pokrovosk sector to see if more aid could be given.  And your nation was offering at one point to bring in 30K troops..... now that number has been almost totally reduced and they won't do a whole lot at all but i don't recall exactly what the newer reduced offer was.
