Well, reducing the deadline is already surprisingly good, so I'm cautiously optimistic - very cautiously, because so far Trump has displayed only weakness in regard to Russia.

Russians Lose Significant Amount of Equipment on Pontoon at Lyman Sector

Russians troops lost a significant amount of armored vehicles and artillery during their crossing over a pontoon at the Lyman sector.

The photos were published on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by a marine named Kriegsforscher.

On just one crossing, the enemy lost a BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher system, as well as a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer along with its tractor.

Additionally, the pontoon saw the destruction of a BTR-82A, an all-terrain vehicle, a truck, and an infantry fighting vehicle or a truck that was towing the Msta-B.

Update: It’s now law. NABU and SAPO have had their independence restored. Zelensky says he has signed the bill after it passed in parliament today.

I guess that i was fooled with trump, but he's still not supporting ukraine and could care less about its people. The real way to peace is through punishing the aggressor and you can't satisfy a nation that breeds tyrants for leaders. The only way to satisfy and relieve such a nation of these urges is to kick its ass in one way or another. Trump is hurting peace for europe by siding with russia.

Zelensky to his credit, is trying to look ahead and realize what is coming (trump and putin teaming up against him) and wants europe involved in the discussions so that they can collectively defend zelensky's POV.  And to be fair, an aggressive russia is a problem for everybody in Europe, and so other nations should get involved in these discussions.  I still support zelensky even though he's had a bit of pushback with the anti-corruption agency because he's keeping everybody safe.

There has been a breakthrough by the russians nead pokrovosk and the ukrainians are rightly shitting themselves over this. The article says that they are bringing the azov corps to the area, but it may just be the azov brigade which is the truly elite part.

I'll try to post further articles about this. The russians may not be able to take advantage of the breakthough anyway, because they don't have a lot of armor right now. Ukraine is also prioritizing drones to be sent there to clean the area up.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released a statement addressing the current situation on the Donetsk front:

- The Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking effective measures to stop the enemy's advance in the Dobropilla and Pokrovsk directions;

- Our units are involved in heavy defensive battles against superior enemy forces. In the Pokrovsk direction alone, the invaders have concentrated forces numbering over 110,000 personnel;

- In order to penetrate the depths of our defense, the Russian invaders are acting boldly. Despite the losses, they are trying to infiltrate our defenses with sabotage and small infantry groups;

- In particular, several small enemy groups, bypassing the positions of the Ukrainian defenders, attempted to advance towards the settlement of Zolotyi Kolodiaz. In addition, using the peculiarities of the local landscape, the saboteurs secretly penetrated the settlements of Vesele, Vilne, Rubizhne, Kucheriv Yar. Some of the groups have already been destroyed, the rest are in the process of being destroyed;

- The situation is difficult and dynamic, but the Defense Forces are taking all necessary measures to detect and destroy enemy groups. In particular, by the decision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, additional forces and means have been allocated to strengthen the stability of the defense. Measures have been planned to block enemy groups in a certain area;

- Reserve units have already detected the enemy and are having their first successes: the occupiers are being destroyed and taken prisoner;

- The defenders of Ukraine are focused on fulfilling their tasks, holding the lines and need the support of the entire society to repel new attempts at enemy attacks.
