Russian Troops At Bakhmut Refuse Attack Order, Kill Commander, Surrender

In the third such incident in a month, Russian frontline troops refused an officer's order to launch an attack on Ukrainian positions without armor or artillery support, which the soldiers understandably regarded as a suicidal mission with little hope of achieving its supposed objective.

When their commanding officer threatened to have them shot for refusing the order, they killed him and then surrendered. This incident reportedly occurred in the Bakhmut sector. The month's previous mutinies occurred on the Lyman and Kupiank fronts. The implication is that Russian army morale is worsening as units are being ordered to make unsupported attacks with little hope of survival.

USA still hasn't sent a thing to Ukraine since Trump's announcement, Patriots are "TBC" and reported as weeks-months and America is already back to opening up to the possibility on caving on the deadline, basically the deadline was horseshit like all others and won't ever be enforced, by the end of the 50 day deadline will be another deadline.

Meanwhile Zelenskyy's approval rating is about to take a nosedive and Ukraine's EU application is seriously harmed if not dead.

Will result in protests across the country, there are already large protests, it is a deeply unpopular move, I don't know what the fuck Zelenskyy is thinking, in one move he has destroyed his political standing. Turning your people against you during a time of war is utterly insane. Zelenskyy's approval rating was already dropping pre-war because he didn't do enough about corruption and because he was seen as too weak on Russia, dude just handed Valerii Zaluzhnyi the Presidency on a silver platter, Lol.

Today, Ukraine saw its first mass protest since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Demonstrators gathered to demand President Zelensky veto bill №12414, which was passed by 263 MPs in the Verkhovna Rada on 22 July.

450 MPs in Ukraine Parliament. The only possible sympathetic reading on this would be him trying to placate members of the Ukrainian parliament that he needs on his side but who gives a fuck about them when you have the people behind you, or rather, did have the people behind you, and considering it wasn't long ago when Ukrainians dragged their last president out of office because he was a pro-Russian idiot who dragged them away from the EU, this could go bad fast, especially if it destroys Ukraine EU membership chances.

Seriously irresponsible, Ukraine's actions have caused thousands to protest openly for the first time during the entire war, all it takes is one Russian missile to wipe out an entire crowd of thousands, and that blood will partly be on Ukraine parliaments hands for passing such a controversial bill. The EU needs to slap this down now if it is as bad as it sounds.

If EU doesn't pressure Ukraine to stop this, the people of Ukraine will, they've done it before.

The bill effectively strips the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) of their independence, placing them under the control of the Prosecutor General.

I strongly oppose shutting down NABU, even if a russian spy were discovered within its ranks. While it's crucial to cleanse governmental bodies of spies and russian influence, dismantling an entire institution is not the answer.

The question is then what was on those planes.

I don't think it's missiles (like patriot missiles), as those are pretty dangerous to transport by plane and will more probably come to Poland by ships. So it's more probable it's vehicles or parts, small arms and ammunition.

A passenger plane with 50 people aboard crashed in russia's eastern region........ Ukraine has been targeting russia's airports and wants to put some pressure on them. The constant disruptions have to be causing problems for the plane's maintenance, and at the very least are a big distraction for everyone. The sanctions are also making the airports having a hard time to find parts for the planes and i'm also reading about how the industry as a whole is in a big crisis.

absolutely, i guess what i was trying to convey was that trump is helping instead of not doing that.  Even if it's just helmets and MRE's in those planes, the fact that he's giving anything means that missles and other useful stuff will probably come eventually.   

That was a really old Antonow entirely made out of Russian parts. It is well known that many of those airlines/planes operating in Siberia/far east region have been and are in bad shape (none would get a license for European airports). Most likely two drunk pilots or failing "Russian made, bolted together" spare parts.

I have read reports from shocked Westerners telling that local farmers brought along sheeps and goats on their flights, and people actually sitting in the aisles due to overbooking. Rules are different in Russian provinces.

They are so unprofessional that you can't expect anything else.
