4 lessons to be learned from Zelensky’s White House meeting

https://thehill.com/homenews/5177131-zelensky-trump-meeting/

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The author of the article states that zelensky did rather poorly in his televised meeting with Trump and crew. He also offers advice on things that he feels should have been handled more skillfully. I personally disagree, and it seemed like a lot of calculated low blows from just about everyone else in the room besides zelensky, they were all very critical of him. And zelensky is only trying to save his people. Anyway, i disagree that zelensky should have done anything better, because this meeting has resulted in more aid from Europe. Europe knows 100% now that Trump doesn't have any interest in helping, and before, there may have still been some doubt as to whether or not he would abandon Ukraine. If anybody else has any thoughts, please share.

Doesn't really matter, I don't think Zelenskyy did anything wrong but it's irrelevant, the meeting was set up as a trap from the start, it was pretty damn obvious in hindsight and after witnessing that shitshow, they baited that reaction out of him because it's the reaction they wanted, they would have kept goading and goading until they were given an excuse to cut support, America is ran by people more loyal to Russia.

Case in point, America is rewarding Russia for the war and making Ukraine surrender everything.

❗️US rules out Ukraine returning to 2014 or even 2022 borders — Sky News

US officials have said they “don’t want to hear” about any requests from Ukraine to return the country’s borders to 2014 or 2022 positions.

Good message to all enemies of America, steal any territory you like, America won't make you to surrender it.

At this point you have to wonder why Ukraine is even bothering entertaining the USA. They are not going to supply you with either weapons or intel and are clearly more focussed on pleasing Russia. If there's a deal to be made it has to be between EU, Russia and Ukraine.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Better chance of getting support from China at this point than fucking America 💀

Yeah, I do wish Ukraine would just tell America to fuck off but I understand why they're trying absolutely everything, despite how much shit America says about them, how much they spit in their face, how much they're working for Russia, Ukraine is still desperately trying to be diplomatic because their survival is on the line.

UK + EU on the other hand has no excuse, we should cut America off.

Though it's funny that Russia still shows a complete lack of respect for America, Lol. Russia have already said that they won't accept a ceasefire, won't accept security guarantees, don't give a fuck about American sanctions, I mean, America is debasing itself for a country that shows it zero respect. What a pathetic leader Trump is.

Peskov claims that Ukraine has received such a large amount of weaponry that it would last for many months even if supplies were halted.

Additionally, putin's press secretary suggested that if Musk were to disconnect Ukraine from Starlink, Kyiv's forces would quickly find an alternative.

Yeah, I think the US is right now trapped in a propaganda bubble that they don't realize they're in.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Yeah sounds like The Hill is putting all the blame on Zelenskyy, throwing him further under the bus.

1. He didn't dress right (then they say Elon Musk didn't either but he's special)
2. He didn't use an interpreter and used the wrong word for suit after he got criticized on his clothing.
3. Do the hard conversations off camera. Err he was asked the questions... It was a trap.
4. He needs to get out of the way.

This was orchestrated to discredit Zelenskyy and it backfired spectacularly. Zelenskyy did everything right to stand up to the bullies and it was crystal clear already the US under Trump is now a Russian puppet.

I expected better from The Hill. Actually not really since The Hill has been 'dismissing' everyone critical of Israel.

https://www.democracynow.org/2024/6/7/headlines/the_hill_fires_briahna_joy_gray_critic_of_israels_war_on_gaza

In media news, the Washington-based news outlet The Hill has fired Briahna Joy Gray, the co-host of “Rising,” The Hill’s daily morning show. Gray has been a vocal critic of Israel’s war on Gaza. Last year, The Hill also fired the political commentator Katie Halper after she called Israel an apartheid state.

They have their own channels now

Karma?
