Ukraine’s parliament has overwhelmingly approved a resolution affirming the legitimacy of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s stay in office, asserting the constitutionality of deferring the presidential election while the country is at war. The 268 parliament members present on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve the resolution, while 12 other MPs were not present during the session.

The resolution was designed by the parliamentary leadership as a symbolic show of support for Zelenskyy, whose regular term in office ended in May. The document also referred to Article 108 of the Ukrainian constitution, according to which the incumbent head of state remains in power until the next elected president takes office.

Good. As bad as today was, it could have been worse if Ukraine had allowed itself to get duped by Trump like the US people.

I get the feeling this was both a trap to use an excuse to cut aid off to Ukraine by goading Zelenskyy but also to try to force regime change in Ukraine, for example, they will want to paint Zelenskyy as the unreasonable party, they goaded him into a conflict and they will now blame him for messing things up and losing American support, they will try to turn Ukrainian politicians against him, say he is not fit to lead and has to step down if Ukraine wants America's continued support, they want someone unlike Zelenskyy, would cave to their demands and surrender to Russia.

I do believe this pathetic display will only increase Zelenskyy's approval rating in Ukraine though and make Ukraine even more patriotic.
