FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK AMERICA.

The next US president is going to have a day job cleaning up all the mess this administration’s making. If they even can.

OT: I can follow Rol’s optimism here, it seems Europe is getting pretty pissed off, and that was probably needed for real things to happen. Still we’ll have to wait and see.

they won't be able to. Tariffs and and economics instability is one things that can be salvage after a new and logical administration take place however the US have lost their status as World leader and they won't be able to get it back simply because no one else will be willing to see the US as such going forward.

World security, is something you absolutely need to be reliable and the US just shouted to everyone that they are not. It will takes decades for other countries to rely on the US again the same way they did up to now but by that time it's not certain the US will even be able to play that role again anyway.

Don't worry, Republicans are "concerned" they'll surely do something about Trump ripping through America's entire foreign relations! Lol.

If there was any Republican who genuine gave a shit they would issue articles of impeachment.

The Roman Catholic Church is probably making plans for a papal enclave to succeed Pope Francis, who is in critical condition at the age of 88.

There are five likely top choices, according to the Independent. Two of them could potentially gum up the works for the Ukraine.

Cardinal Matteo Zuppi (Italy): Moderate, has said positive things about LGBTQ+, met with Zelenskyy during the invasion of Ukraine, and Biden. Probably the best choice out of these. Was also a favorite of Pope Francis, which may or may not work against him, depending on how much pull the conservative wing of the Catholic Church has in this papal conclave.

Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle (Philippines): Left-leaning, pro-Ukraine, pro-LGBTQ+

Cardinal Pietro Parolin (Italy): Vatican Secretary of State, pro-Ukraine, moderate

Cardinal Peter Erdo (Hungary): About what you'd expect. Ally of Viktor Orban, has called taking in refugees the "equivalent of human trafficking." President of the European Bishop's conference. Hard right-wing.  That said, he would probably have the best chance of bridging the East and West of these popes.

Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke (United States): Hard right. No opinion on Ukraine that I can find, but pro-Trump and generally follows most MAGA positions, so it might be reasonable to assume he'd support the MAGA "peace" plan of Ukraine capitulating to Russia. Was constantly critical of Biden and most of Francis's attempts to liberalize certain church policies. Anti-vax, which contributed in part to Pope Francis revoking his right to a Vatican apartment and salary. Basically the ecclesiastical version of Trump.

❗️The EU is still discussing a new aid package for Ukraine that could be increased to €20-30 billion—several times larger than the previous one. An agreement hasn't been reached yet.

For Trump, it's all and only about money.

He stressed that the U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal is about getting America’s money back, calling it an “Economic Partnership” to recoup billions sent to Ukraine. He also hints at economic deals with Russia as part of his push to end the war.

🇮🇪 Ireland will donate Giraffe Mark IV air defense radar systems to Ukraine. Minister Simon Harris says supporting Ukraine is "a necessity, not a choice." Ireland reaffirms solidarity as Ukraine faces unjustified U.S. pressure to negotiate with Russia.

⚡️ Retired US Army General Ben Hodges criticized Europe's stance on Ukraine: "Lift your butt and do something!" He pointed out Europe's combined military strength isn't the issue, but the lack of will. "Stop complaining about relying on the US—act now!"

🇫🇷🇬🇧 Macron announced that France and the UK have prepared a plan for security guarantees for Ukraine, potentially involving military deployment. He clarified that "they will not necessarily be stationed at the front line" but will be present "as a guarantee."

Not on the frontlines sounds like a complete waste of time, Putin will simply test the boundaries and Europe will say "Stop being naughty!" far from the frontlines, then when Putin pushes even more, Europe will quickly pull its troops away from danger (out of the country). NATO is the best guarantee of security, soldiers not even on the frontline don't put Europe in any danger.

Trump stated that there are things in Russia that interest the US, particularly rare earth metals. Meanwhile, Putin is urgently holding a meeting about the development of the rare earth metals industry. Moscow is ready to offer the US joint cooperation in this sector.

So, Ukraine blocked from joining NATO, America pillages its corpse, Russia gets rich from America, restores their military and goes for round 3? Guarantee Trump offers Russia a fairer deal than he offered Ukraine, honestly it's sick that Russia may get a deal at all, the country that murdered hundreds of thousands will be rewarded with cash straight after the war? They should remain sanctioned until they repay Ukraine.

🇩🇰🇺🇦 Denmark has already delivered 12 out of the 19 promised F-16s to the Ukrainian Air Force, according to Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. The remaining planes will be delivered this year.

Trump refuses to call Putin a dictator like Zelensky: "I don't use those words lightly," after which he turned his statement away from the initial question.

The best way to confront a bully about the misinformation he is spreading is to confront him in front of everyone. Macron just did that.

Three years ago this morning, I was listening to Russian bombs fall on Ukraine. Three years on from Russia's full-blown invasion, its war continues. But Russia's attempt to subjugate Ukraine, undermine its sovereignty and erase its identity has been met with the fiercest resistance...

To those out there who might want to shove a ceasefire down Ukrainians' throats thinking that that would be the end of this war, I would remind you that Russia has never kept its word on a ceasefire since it first invaded Ukraine in 2014 – that this nation was given days or weeks at most in 2022...

Updates on German Military Aid to #Ukraine → For the first time, we have received official figures on the number of IRIS-T (SL) missiles delivered. At 658 missiles, a bit more than I had expected. We have also received an update on the Patriot missiles delivered: 328 missiles!

Russia appears to be relying more on Iran and North Korea to support its war in Ukraine.
