I reported a few of BFRs comments in this thread for being off topic in the last week. I wasn't expecting him to get a ban for it though. I was hoping he'd get an official warning that would hopefully encourage him to keep his discussions related to the topics in this thread.

But it took Rolstoppable who excels in inflaming others to get him to the point where BFR got himself banned.  And if BFR was banned for speaking on off topic subjects then rol should be banned as well because it was an ongoing discussion between the two.  Why pick one person if both were guilty of the same offense?  The other thing is that Rol frequently makes personal attacks which causes problems between members and this has happened many times.

But for some reason the mods support this because they keep letting Rolstoppable get away with it all.

You seem to have made a lot of observations about me, so it stands to reason that you can list the names of the people that I got allegedly banned. Also curious that you chose to not reply to Ryuu explaining what had happened and instead opted to continue with your game.

As for BFR, I am not interested in getting him banned because I like to challenge his wacky positions. I've said multiple times that he has a drinking problem, but that goes back to him himself saying that he likes to drink a lot. Plus there's the obvious evidence of him going off the rails on a quite regular basis to troll and flame. That's just connecting the dots.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

I don't like how you enjoy picking on people, and i'm gonna be on you like stink on shit and if you denigrate anybody else, i'm going to make enough of an issue about it that i'll turn other people against you Rol.  That's why i wasn't responding to Ryu, i was trying to get the group to see that you like to stir the pot and flame others.  Ryuu knows how you are and he could have banned you a long time ago if he wanted, so i'm not going to bother responding to him even if he did obviously address that to me.

It's very unfair that you can come in this thread and start trouble, when a regular member can't use it anymore because of the conversations that were made with you.  I realize that BFR has been argumentative before this, but you like to stir the pot and enjoy results like what has happened with him.  So, i'll be watching your posts and reporting them if need be.  Secondly, don't give me that about how you were informing BFR about him being a drinker or are at all concerned for his well being.  He knows that, and if you were really coming at this from an angle of compassion, you would have tried to make the point in a better way.  You would have tried to be his friend first and built a bridge to get to that point.  But i have only seen you talk shit so i doubt you give a rats ass over him drinking too much.  It's just ammo to use in a political discussion so at least be honest with yourself and everyone else here about that.

It won't work, Russia.

The elites are frustrated with Putin and the economic condition that Russia is/will be in for the foreseeable future.  Soldiers are getting killed/maimed and/or many can't return the the factory for a while if at all. Also, the sanctions are hurting Russian business.  The only sectors doing well right now in Russia are the arms production factories.

Still, while this is good news it is not a knockout blow for Russia's economy.  Their GDP may decline by 3% or so this year, but nothing catastrophic.

The issue with Russia is very institutional. They've killed off a lot of very smart people by sending them to die in the war, along with many people that left the country (both foreigners that worked for companies involved there, as well as natives fleeing the draft).

Because of that, when the war is over, Russia will struggle to recover. The GDP may not show it now, but it will in 5, 10, 15 years. They will not be able to bounce back easily. And with China starting to treat them like a vassal state, it will become worse as China will exert colonial ambitions against them to ensure the trade relationship becomes more favorable for China than Russia. That is what the oligarchs fear - being treated like they've been treating Africa and Middle Eastern countries for decades.

Also, its nice to see Rolstoppable still posting. Haven't seen that name in a long time!

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Ukraine says North Koreans may have pulled out of front line

🇺🇳 NATO to discuss increasing defense spending to 3.5% of GDP soon, says Rutte. The NATO Secretary General confirms partners will decide on specific defense contribution details ahead of the June summit in The Hague.

"I can assure you, it will be more than 2%," he said.

"Ukraine will not lose. We must support it to become stronger," says NATO Secretary General Rutte.

"The front is moving in the wrong direction, but at what cost? Russia loses 1,000 to 1,500 soldiers daily and still fails to achieve its goals," Rutte added.

"Very soon, Europe will stand at Trump's feet and wag it's tail gently."

If Trump tries to stamp tariffs on Europe, it's more likely they'll wag counter-tariffs and banhammers around than any tail...

Oh, and probably will forego US products in their Army spending increases. In short, the US will lose both in prominence and finances as military hardware sales to Europe is a big part of the GDP of smaller US states - most of them deeply Republican, so I'm pretty sure they're hearing the alarm bells going off already...

Edit: Looks like I'm not the only one thinking like this:
