Forums - Gaming - Control: Should I keep playing it?

I bought it for Xbox one x and couldn't finish it. Then it won all kinds of awards. Bought it again for Xbox series x but I don't know. Seems like something is missing.

If you enjoy it, continue. Hell, buy it at a discount. But I just don't know what people are seeing that I'm not. I loved Alan Wake and Quantum Break.

I have struggled to get into every Remedy games I have tried.

Control had an interesting premise, but like all the other games from them that I’ve tried, something inevitably didn’t click and made me lose interest.

I simply moved on to other titles, thankful that PS+ allowed me to try the game without having to buy it.

I'm simple man, I like to throw shit at people with Jedi-like powers. I quite enjoyed my time with the game, the best section would the Ashtray Maze like many mentioned, amazing mix of high intensity gameplay and kickass soundtrack.

Replicate this exact thoughts, I actually enjoyed it enough to get the Plat. Maxed out the throwing TK damage stat first, was taking out some early bosses real easy.

Hmm, pie.

4 hours is enough for that game imo. I was sucked in by the story but the conclusion was really not to my liking. Gameplay has a few fun elements like telekinesis, but you do have to rely heavily on shooting at all points of the game.

I feel the same way most have mentioned. I played it early last year and put about 5-7 hours in, then lost interest and haven't picked it up until today (thanks for the reminder). Unlike Alan Wake and Quantum Break, Control didn't grab my attention and keep me engaged until the end. The setting is drab and confusing to navigate at times. The story is okay, and I don't care for the characters at all. Not having a free next-gen patch is ridicule too. From a gameplay perspective, it's the best from Remedy so at least it has that going for it. I'm going to attempt to compete it before it leaves Game Pass. Very happy I didn't buy this game.
