GC was my favorite 6th gen console and it had the power but it had some issues. I was a multiplatform gamer back then:
-Games like it True Crime were lacking entire mission types and music and the draw distance was horrendous.
-Games like SSX Tricky were lacking the "DVD content" that the other versions had.
-Splinter Cell's levels had to be entirely reworked and made smaller (it did have an exclusive opening cutscene, though...).
-And the controller lacked L3,R3, analog buttons (nobody used that feature, anyway), and it only had three shoulder buttons. They had to make some compromises with controls.
I do agree that it had good third party support. Most big games did come to it. Unfortunately, they often came much later than on Xbox and Playstation 2 and they were typically the worst version. Towards the end, they started tossing in exclusive Nintendo characters in multiplats so that was kinda nice.
