It would take a monumental fuck up for Switch not to pass those numbers this autumn. My suspicion is the autumn quarter will be the Switch’s biggest ever, particularly if there is a sales dip this summer which means more supply to sell through than last year. Something similar happened with Wii in 2009’s autumn quarter. Up to around March 2009 there were constant shortages, then Spring/Summer 2009 Wii was seen on retail shelves far more frequently, then BOOM! The autumn 2009 explosion—the largest quarterly sales of a home console in video game history.
