After a statistical tie in Europe in last week's thread, Switch and PS5 separate as PS5 drops 20k.
Today's Famitsu numbers have Switch up slightly compared to this thread's week, we'll see if that lifts it globally.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Man I can't believe PS5 only sold 155 units worldwide so far. What a disaster...

If you don't get the joke, PM me if you wish.

We got some shipment figures from Sony.
PS5: 10.1m
PS4: 116.4m

Our PS5 figures are fine since they match Sony's sell-through. With 500,000 PS4's shipped for the quarter that does show we are a bit low with our PS4 estimates and it will need some adjusting up. I'll adjust up our PS4 estimates at some point today.

If I'm right, PS5 hits 10m in week 36 – the same week as Wii launch aligned. That's why Sony is saying that "PS5 is the fastest selling PlayStation" instead of it's the fastest selling console of all time.

Great work

We also know how many they plan to make (so far) (due to parts they have):

"Sony also said it has secured the parts to build 14.8m PS5 units this fiscal year, for a total of 22.6m by March 31, 2022." - ZhugeEx

That does help with our estimates. Also means PS5 sales won't be tracking that far ahead of PS4 due to shortages.
