How big is the Monster Hunter Stories spinoff over there? MH in general is very popular, but I'm not sure if the spinoff can get the same numbers.

Yes, this is partially surprising. MH:Stories got total about 320k sales. So, with current package sales reported in media like Famitsu, we can predict MH:Stories 2's total sales would be more than it.

As far as I remember, MH:Stories has been rated better than anticipated and Capcom has been trying to popularize as independent brand by animation and so on.  Moreover, MH:Stories 2 has been advertised with MH:Rise time after time. It might be very helpful to generate awareness among MH players.
