early next year means before march 31st ;)

ok lets do the math

starting may....

it will be about 6.4m too go..........(out selling the 360 by 50k

1st of june.....at 55k a week 6.18 too go

now its 1st of july and mgs4 just hit stores (remeber the mgs4 bundel for others ad NA) well now it will out sell the 360 by 120 for the month of july (boost for japan too) 5.8m left

now its 1st of agust.......we are still outselling the 360 by 75k (thanks mgs4) now its 5.5m left

1st of setember (price cut 1?) sale go up too 120k again now its 5.1m

1st of october and rfom2 comes out and socom) sales are outselling 360 by 200k......4.3 left

1st of november home comes out and the high of killzome 2 and rfom 2 are still int he air........125k.......now its 3.9m

1st of december.......the black friday starts ps3 out sell the 360 by 200k.....3.1m left

1 jan.......december sales puhed the ps3 too outsell the 360 by 400k.....1.5m too go

1st of feb people just used there gift cards......ps3 outsell 360 by 100k 1.1m too go

1st of march ps3 out sell 360 by 75k.........just 800k too go

1st of april and end of my cacl......woops ps3 out sell the 360 by 75k again.... 500k too go?




lol i was just off by 500k :( but hey who know i didnt put in all the games we have and anything can happen so yea we probly wont catch up toot he 360 by 1stq of 09 but we sure will int he 2nd Q

and i didnt post games such as uncharted 2 motorstorm 2 haze,......the new warhawk ip........litle big planet and manny manny manny more lol (the reson i didnt add this is too make up just incase my forcast dosent live up im sure the other games and what eveer sony anoucces at E3 will more than make up for it

starcraft why do you always talk about RPG's?! iv never played an rpg in my life and either have close to any of my friends.

What are you talking about,,PS3 is one year and five months old,,,,start of next generation is still way ahead,,I know MS will take a dump on their 360 user base (As they did to xbox)and start the next generation as early 2010 and stop the support on 360 due to thei limited # of game developers,,,,, people will realize that XBOX is not worth any money as it's always on a short life support.This was the exact reseaon that I switched from the original xbox to PS3 and promised my self to not ever buy another MS console.

 

On the other hand PS3 will last 9- 10 years and that's when you ll see the value in PS3(same with PS2).when they drop the price to 250 level then a surge of new user will hit the PS3 ,,wii owners that wanted to play RE5 and Final Fantasy ,etc.. and also lots of PS2 owners.

 

So you can say xbox 360 will be ahead untill the start of next generation but that's not saying much as it's one of XBOX short commings(short life span) ,,MS has 4 year life cycle instead of 10(hence much lower value as a gaming console).

by that time, the new Xbox and Wii will be out. And the new Xbox and maybe even the next Wii will have the same or better grahpical prowness as the PS3

yes and PS4 will also be there but PS3 will still be kickin due to the surge of new comers after 250$ price point (as you can see the effects of 100$ price cut on PS3)

 

this is just my opinion ,I could be wrong,,,Unlike Starcraft I do not force my thoughts on people as facts,so you might have a different point of view.

than a £299 console. just think if the ps3 was at a £159 price point!


 if the ps3 was ever that cheap i think even the wii would be having some trouble outdoing the ps3, but it is not so we have to do with a 299 pounds console

I think it all depends on GTA4 when/if the PS3 will overtake the 360, so I'll reserve my statement for ~ 1 month after GTA4 launch.

Also, neither will be king. The Wii beats both of them by a land slide.
