will people stop touting AAA as some sort of review score based system? AAA simply means blockbuster game, a guarunteed multi-million seller. Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Metal Gear Sold, Final Fantasy, Halo, Grand Theft Auto, these are all AAA franchises no matter what review score the games get.

So IGN js your judge of how much you will like a game? Not saying it's stupid, I just think it's stupid.

I'd give the game (after playing it for 10 days straight) a 9.1 overal, which means it's AAA. There.

Exactly, I wish people would stop trying to redefine terms all the time.

I think the main point of contention for people is the battle mode.

In SMK if was 50% of my enjoyment.

In MK64 it was 75% of my enjoyment.

in MK:DD it was 25% of my enjoyment.

And on Wii it looks to be under 5% of my enjoyment of the game. Everyone is talking positively about the GP mode which is great and I am sure I will like it but is sounds like they shouldn't even have bothered with Battle Mode. So you will forgive me as I have not played it but I am already starting to judge it. Only team mode, larger courses, slower speed equals fail in my book for battle mode. Therefore it 8.9 is the most it will get from me when I buy it.

Not trying to bash or really defend MKWii, but that 150cc AI must be a pain if it's truely the driving force in that score drop.

I mean all the Mario Karts 150cc AI and Mirror AI have always been down right cheap, like they boost out of no where and slap you out of the way, and it's always a big guy in first.

Unless they just made it harder... to which I don't know...

This might be a case where the review doesn't matter, simply because he based it on difficulty of the game.
