PS4 and XB1 are UP, NSW is down this week!

It's interesting to see that PS4 and XBO are performing only marginally better in their first year after their successor's release than PS3/X360 in their second year post successor.

I tink what is holding back the Switch is increasingly not demand, but the supply. In Japan, even the Lite is hard to find, and I feel like this is about to happen to other regions, too.

Same as the previous weeks, PS4 and XB1 are UP, NSW is down!

At this point in time during their respective years, the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS sold through these percentages of their sales:

PlayStation 3 '15 - 54.8%

Xbox 360 '15 - 42.8%

Nintendo DS '07 - 33.9%

If each of these percentages were to hold for all 3 systems this year, these would be the estimated final yearly totals for all 3 in 2021.

PlayStation 4 '21 ~  1,935,775 units

Xbox One '21 ~  993,500 units

Nintendo Switch '21 ~  29,658,500 units

I think Switch will end up right around DS '07 numbers, maybe slightly under right around 29 mil.

With BotW2 they could have broken 30 mil this year, but with seemingly only Pokemon as the mega selling holiday title, and considering two pokemons have already come out and this is a remake and another one is coming out two months later, I think Pokemon alone won't have quite enough kick to push Switch for sure over DS '07 numbers or to 30 mil.
