Looks like Midway are pulling out all the stops to try and get 360 users to buy UT III.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com at the game's official unveiling in Las Vegas this week, Rein said that because Epic has spent more time on the 360 version compared with the PS3 version of the game it had benefited from more optimisation, and said that gamers "can draw your own conclusions from that".

The 360 version of UT3 features two-player split-screen support across all modes except online ranked, to prevent cheating. It also contains three brand new maps, two re-imagined maps and two new characters, as well as all the DLC from the PS3 and PC versions.

Talking to OXM at the Midway Gamers Day in Las Vegas, Epic president Mark Rein confirmed that the best mods will be available to players of the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3, although details are still being worked out. "We know some of these great mods are going to play a role on Xbox 360, even if we have to get some people and bring them over ourselves," he said. "We'll figure it out."

"The game (Gears 2) is spectacularly good," he told VideoGamer.com. "I'm not committing to any features. In the mean time, buy UT3. There might be a surprise in UT3 that's Gears related. Just saying. In the 360 version. You'll have to buy the game and find out."

its a shame that people wont take up on this, i have this on ps3 and its totally superb.

Not sure about everything you mentioned, but unless MS allows mods, it's impossible for the 360 version to have the same amount of content.

Nope, it's not looking like it. I'm sure it'll sell on the 360 because of it's shooter oriented community though. 

The gears 2 stuff that comes on the disc, wouldnt it be awesome if it's a demo! Epic would sell loads of UT3 then.

Where does it say mods and why is it in the title?

If they put some kind of Gears 2 Beta or demo on the disc, this game will sell extremely well.
