Forums - Sports Discussion - 2024-25 NBA Season

Regular season starts up again this Tuesday.

And unless something drastic changes, it will be the last season for Inside the NBA. Man, I grew up my whole life watching that show. The absolute best talk show in sports. Not seeing Ernie, Kenny, Chuck, and Shaq after this year is gonna feel so off and kinda sad. But at least I'll still have those decades worth of memories!

As for the landscape of the league, I'd expect the Celtics to the favorites to repeat and hang Banner #19. Though teams like the Mavericks, Knicks, and Thunder, I'd expect to make a serious push with the additions they've made and the growth of their younger stars.

Around the Network

Can't really blame the NBA for choosing Amazon and Comcast/NBC Universal over WB Discovery but there are actually more than enough NBA games each year that they could have made deals with four major networks. The NFL has a lot fewer games and the gave Netflix a multi-year deal just for Christmas day games. Glad that my regional sports network is failing I can watch most Dallas Mavericks game free over the air now.

How bout dem Leprechauns...

Looks like the Celtics will easily win over 60 games again this season and easily win the East again. Probably by at least five games. It's funny though in the game against the Knicks where they tied the record for most three pointers made by a team in a game once they got that record, they missed 13 straight three pointers trying to beat the record.

You HAD to jinx them. XD

As soon as you say this, they lose a game.

And it looks like the Cavs may have something to say about that "easily win the East again" part.

Yikes, looks like Doc is done with the Bucks.

Looking forward to this game.
