Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony's PS5 Games Reveal Event Rescheduled To This Thursday, June 11th

thanks fixed it

Excellent news! Cannot wait to see the games and hopefully the console :D

It wasn't just the protests why Sony delayed the conference a week. The first memorial for George Floyd was the same day on June 4th and the official funeral is tomorrow the 9th. It's not about "solving racism in a week", it's about showing respect to the man and the situation that society is in right now.

Obviously they can't delay this showcase indefinitely but they can move it out of the way to show respect as well as not compete for media exposure while people are grieving. They made the right call but in the end time moves on for us all. I am looking forward to watching this on the 11th.

Yeah idd. Also, I think they only delayed the event for a week as the longer they postpone the reveal, the more likely news are going to leak. We already have some of it spill already with the BB remaster and DS remake.

Fucking finally. My Body is beyond ready!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

June 11 is so close. We just have to make it a few more days without another unprecedented crisis showing up.

EDIT:  I just realized June 11 is normally E3 week.  This is like one of those Ocean's 11 type of switcheroos where the only one at E3 was the company that was originally going to boycott it.

Please show me GT7, Horizon, Silent Hill, and some big 3rd party games. I really cannot wait anymore.

It only took a week to solve racism. The world is ready for the PS5 now.

Can a mod steer this thread in the right direction? It seems a mod was present here but only contributed to the derailing of the thread.

So by what some have said on Sony not being ready to show the console or games (even though they had scheduled the presentation) and used the case as an excuse were Sony able to get ready within a week? Fantastic. So the console will release next month right?
