Forums - Sony Discussion - Can we please estabilish a rule to ban Spoilers of the PS5 conference in the Thread title until the conference?

With the stupid decision to postpone the conference, can we please estabilish, either by the mods or make it like an unwritten rule between us users, to not post the inevitable spoilers that comes from this delay in the title of the threads?

I mean, whoever wants to talk about it, the option will still be there.Just dont put '' Bloodborne 2 LEAKED ahead of the conference'' in the title. Write something like '' New leak from the delayed conference'' or something.

Me and probably many others wants to go as blind as possible to it.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It is already a rule to not spoil in title.

So your suggestion for (SPOILER) Content from Sony presentation leaked, or similar is already something people should do instead of putting the title like let's say "(SPOILER) Cloud dies on FFVIIRemake".

That's true. Then I vote to ban all leaks from being written in the title until the PS5 conference.

I mean, that would be a good policy to implement permanently, but hey, I'll be fine with only this for now.

I know, it's just that I want to be doubly sure.

Just dissapointed with this whole situation. Don't want to ruin the surprise, but don't want to not use the internet for a whole week either.

Goddammit it Sony.

I feel like the problem with any specific spoiler rules beyond those normally in place is how exactly would people know about them? It would be unfair to punish people for a rule that they're unaware of.

That being said, if I see a thread title mentioning a specific game, I'll edit it out.

Another option is to make a stickied spoiler topic specifically for leaks relating to the Sony conference, so that people will have one topic, with a spoiler free title to post anything. I'll run that by the mods and see what they think.

Yeah, me too. But I also like this bomb of surprises too. And all we have been getting lately are these few announcements here and there with no fanfare. I miss a good and old big presentation(or Direct)

To have a category for spoiler on thread creation which doesn't show on main page would already help some as well... the rules are available to everyone and can be edited. Also a day ban and locking thread isn't that harsh, at most after the event comes out you can just remove it from person mod history to not increase lenght of other bans.
