Forums - Nintendo - My niece just got a Wii

And I need to buy the little shitbox a present. She's turning 10 and I was thinking that Brawl would be good but I have a question:

How well does Brawl play with the Wiimote? I'm not going to buy her new controllers to play the game.

And if Brawl doesn't play well with the Wiimote, what other games would you recommend? BTW, first person who recommends Galaxy for a 10 year old girl gets a ban for stupidity.

Well the controls are fine but you don't use the motion censor.
If I were you I would try looking for a game that uses the motion control.

Brawl plays very well with the Wiimote/Nunchuck combination.

Wait... Wouldn't Galaxy be a better choice for a 10 year old girl than Brawl?

Is this her first gaming machine? What kind of games does she like?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Brawl seems like an ok idea for me, she just needs a nunchuck to play it, which comes in the box so you're all good. You may just want to wait and get her MKwii, Mario Kart games are linked to some of my fondest gaming memories.

Shitbox?

lol.

A spongebob game would probably be your best bet.

What about SMG?

She had a GC before this. I'm not buying her Galaxy because I don't feel like beating every difficult part of the game for her like I did Sunshine. Mario games are pretty brutal on kids.

@rol: I would love to wait for MK but her party is tomorrow. Another game I was considering was RRR2. I would prefer Brawl, though. She plays a lot with her stepdad and based on the previous Brawl games, it seems friendly enough for casuals to get into while still retaining enough depth to keep someone like me interested for more than five minutes.

Brawl is no walk in the park either you know XD

What about Zack and Wiki? Wait... same problem.

Hold out for We Cheer. Seems perfect for a 10 year old girl.
