PC doesn't need revival, it is by itself vastly outselling any console in software. It has more games coming out this year, and more AAA exclusives.
PC does need to weaken piracy, and France and Japan are going to show us how to do it.

Here's a video from my band's last show Check out more (bigger) videos here http://www.youtube.com/user/icemanout
There's nothing wrong with PC gaming...some more exclusive awesome games wouldn't hurt though.
If you think PC gaming is expensive, you clearly haven't been watching the PC market for long...it's actually pretty cheap right now...meaning you could build a gaming PC for less than $600 and have pretty good settings.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
What PC gaming needs is people to stop releasing consolidified games on it. Prime example is UT3. It was a complete abomination on a great PC-only franchise. We also need games that are less hyped up but deliver. Crysis is an example of this, crappy shooter, most hype i've in a while. What wed need the most are companies like Blizzard and Vlave. Right now those are probably the only 2 companies for game software that have no crappy games at all (Th best game developers in my opinion).

I think Steam is already making a big difference, it sure got me back into pc gaming.

PC gaming is OK. It will always have highs and lows compared to consoles, as these ones have a performance optimum compared to PCs a few months after their release, when developers learn to take full advantage of the new HW, then they have a sales maximum, when the HW is well utilized and they reach the critical mass that boosts HW sales and SW releases and sales, then low cost PCs start surpassing consoles performance, so that graphics lovers start considering it more, waiting for the successive gen consoles, and so do SW producers with graphics rich titles. Besides this oscillating audience, PCs have a solid user base, whose purchases are proportional to SW releases, but never drop to worryingly low levels, as there are whole game genres that are better on PC. If you combine this highs and lows cycles with the fact that the current generation consoles weren't released all at the same time, with one having a 1 year advantage, but currently weaker in sales than the others, another surprisingly strong, and the third that starts doing good after some faux pas, the result is almost unpredictable, as the PCs and consoles maxs and mins can be sometimes in phase, sometimes else in counter phase so that the difference can oscillate more or less widely than each one function, making the performance of the one or the other look more or less impressive.
PC Gaming is in a good and stable condition, no revival is needed.
As long as the console markets are doing good, PC will have a hard time to pick up.
