I'm looking forward to both this and the Bleach revival.

Bleach should have been ended on the first big villain.

Same I'm excited to see the SternRitter animated but the second half of the arc has to be re written, Kubo was obviously forced to rush it.

It's been a while since I've seen Inuyasha I remember seeing commercials for it on Adult Swim and took a chance when they re aired the series from the start and fell in love with the world and characters, hope that this sequel is good.

The original was so dragged out that I don't think a sequel was needed.

It was dragged out due to Filler, this always happens when yo adapt an ongoing Manga to Anime.

Rumiko isn't involved in the writing... which pretty much makes this a glorified fanfiction in a similar vein to Dragon Ball GT, except the original characters aren't the main focus.

The manga was dragged out.

The story was barely evolving after Inuyasha gets tessaiga. It was always "I need this new power to kill Narak", then at the same time he gets that power Narak gets a power to not be killed by InuYasha and we go again for anoter "I need this new power", rinse and repeat for like 6 times (arcs) until he finally go to hell and get the power to finally end Narak.
