It's very likely. Pokémon Let's Go sold 661k week 1 and BD/SP should outperform it by alot. The user base is way bigger now and gen 4 was very popular in Japan. 900k first week minimum.
Expect it to be over 1.3 million at launch on Famitsu
Sw/Sh did 1.36m. Don't see it doing as many as that. Probably about 1.1m
dreadful for Call of Duty. Will see how it looks on Sunday but not expecting much.

That was on a much smaller user-base, Switch was about 10 million units when Sword / Shield launched. Now user-base is doubled so I don't think Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl will have much problems having a bigger launch.
