Please, I'm being serious here. Let all that "Trump is a monster, that only seeks to sow chaos!" nonsense out of this.

Sure that Trump is making things harder with asking recounts on all Biden "controlled" states, but it's also the states own fault.States like Nevada "taking the day off" for zero reasons why, Pennsylvania stopped counting and will only resume next week(if I'm nothing mistaken). This is all stupid that has nothing to do with Trump or Biden( I think Biden and the Democrats has nothing to do with that, hope so).

It's just the states themselves being incopetent.

It's really sad for me to see alot of votes going for Biden just because they hate Trump, and are delusional thinking that he wants to destroy everything, and not because they genuinely believe that Biden is a good candidate. Just goes to show the state that the democracy is in the US.

The lesser of two evils, is probably the mentality of most.
Trump borderlines on destroying the foundations of america and its democracy though.
(hes acts and talks like a autocrat/facist)

Apparently alot of americans just dont care, about liberty, justice, freedom, or the state of their democracy.
They rather have tax breaks for the rich, and abortions made ilegal.

And yes I think its crazy it takes this long for america to count votes too.
Rest of the world, they have the same rules / system, everywhere and everything is just smooth saling.
Makes you wonder, why every state has its own damn rules, and ways of doing things.

Your supposed to be "united", time to work 1 set ways of doing it, and makeing sure every state follows suit.
Its not supposed to be like this, elections that take so long.

Time to cut the cheating gerrymandering, and voter suppression bullcrap too (requireing registration? should be automatic, if your a citizen) (takeing away peoples right to vote? thats not democratic ect ect).  Finally work out your electoral collage system.... a minority winning a election should not happen in a fair democracy.  Also the 3-7 hours of waiting in line to vote? Do americans have any idea how crazy that is? Rest of the world, we have ques that last like 5-10minuets. In a real democrazy you wouldn't have a system that requires so much of a person just to vote (7hours in que? nah dog).

Also you should write into law, that elections happend on holidays.
SO every person (even those with jobs on those days) can vote (in person).

Yeah, I don't agree one bit with what you say about Trump. The way I see it, people have problems about how Trump talk and expresses himself, because he is very agressive, but none of his actions during his presidency points to him being a fascist, or destroying democracy. You may not agree with his policies, but none of them attacks the institution of democracy itself. That's why people vote for him, because none of them believe this agenda that is being thrown around about Trump being "evil". If anything, that's what I fear about the democrats. With the more radical left wing members like Harris appears to be, they are the ones who end up destroying democracy. But enough of this, this is a rabbit hole I am not in the mood of entering today.

But yeah, I agree with you that the states needs to get their act together in relation to the rules for the election. That's one goddamn mess.

While Biden is gaining in Pennsylvania and Georgia, he's losing some in Arizona and his lead is now down to 65k.

I think Arizona flipping is an extreme scenario, not sure what error margins they use for their predictions, but I guess when they count it for Biden they know what they are talking about

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

He keeps throwing around baseless accusations of fraud in the election, threatening to lock up his election opponents, wants to stop votes being counted in states where he's winning but keep counting where he's losing and now his his son is calling for 'total war' on twitter over the election. All of that is anti-democratic.

Even assuming the last point was meant as a figure of speech, Facebook banned a Trump group today after they called for civil war over the election.

Many counties in Georgia "forgot" to upload the votes. Some typo happened in Winscontin(I think) that gave Biden alot of votes. Key states are taking days off from voting for unknown reasons. Trump is certainly more eloquent than me, but I also would be skeptical.

Now that part about his son calling for "total war", I do agree that's stupid. But the other side is acting like kids too this whole year, with the BLM and Antifa looting and destroying whole neiborhoods, and the Democrats not acting very democratic either(in general, of course). Both sides are being childish, if you want to know my opinion.

And sure, there are some stupid republican groups out there. But democrats are not immune to that either. Just go to the political side of Resetera to see the mess of hate and oppression that that place is.

Nevada took which day off exactly? As far as I know, they stopped counting at night to go to sleep?
There were some areas that continued counting over night, but I don't think that's normal, or to be expected.
As for Pennsylvania, they were counting seemingly everything they could up until last night. An election official gave us an update 5 hours ago on the situation.

~35k ballots remain to be counted in Allegheny County.
29k of those were ordered by federal courts to not be processed until 5 PM on Friday.
6800 of those have some 'other issues' such as damaged in the mail, no secrecy envelope, date stamp issue, etc. Those can only be processed from 9AM on Friday by state order.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SCl4WN0Bdg

Now why mail in ballots aren't processed much earlier is the issue everyone agrees on. As for the reason, if I say it's the GOP's fault for not allowing the state to start processing mail in ballots earlier without poison pills attached to the bill such as outlawing satellite drop boxes, and allowing poll watchers to operate outside their own county, then a conservative will likely tell me its the DNC's fault for not accepting the poison pill.

But let's put it like this.
Mail in ballots have historically been used more by democratic voters.
And this year in particular, everyone knew it would be even more lopsided in the democrats favor, because liberals/progressives are are generally more concerned about Covid, while conservatives are less, and would not be as worried to go vote in person. (Compare the rallies between Biden and Trump. Barely any masks and no social distancing for the latter.)
Also, Trump told his voters that vote by mail isn't reliable, etc.

So getting mail in votes that everyone expected to favor Biden to be counted last/delayed is a good strategy for Trump if he wants to sow doubt on the process. Which he has been doing for the past few months already.

This was easy to predict.

I remember reading that before.
Stupid rules they have in that state.
Apparently the democrats tried to change them (to be more inline with other states), so this sort of issue wouldnt pop up....
but republicans didnt want it.

So the reason the counting is so slow in Nevada is 100% on the republicans.

As far as I know, and correct me if I'm wrong, all votes of most if not all elections are counted within the day. And even if by the end of the day they are not done, and that state is key in deciding the election, they saty up all night counting. I do believe they have the manpower to take turns of something so fundamental and important as an election.

But nevermind that. Its been 2 full days since the polls closed and they are still not done. Even with the record breaking number of people that partook in this election, this reeks of ineficiency to say the least. And now we have some states(don't remember which ones, sorry. This all have been a mess to keep up with) have said that they are going to take up all weekend to count the votes?

At this point, this is just becoming stupid.

Isn't it to recount the previous votes to ensure that there has been no fraud? To avoid Biden to be prematurely being declared the winner, just so that, in case of fraud, they would need to "undeclare" Biden as the new president?

That's how I interpreted it.

Trump now leads Georgia by 3,635 votes, or 1/10th of 1%.

You are in fact wrong. In 2016, the last state was called just 2 minutes before friday. It's not uncommon for final votes to be tallied days after if a state is called. There is also a pandemic going on right now, so things are understandably slower. There is no legal obligation for counting to be done on election day, and votes generally do not have to be certified until late november or early december.

No. If you think that, you simply haven't been following what he's been saying. He wants to recount (only states he lost), wants votes to keep being counted in states where he's behind, and vote counting to stop where he's ahead.
