13 is an unlucky number how will FF13 turn out?

ummm...that looks like a way out considering Square Enix's next step would be to make Kingdom Hearts 3, I probably would expect FF14 to be released sometime towards the end of the PS3 lifecycle. Sort of how FFXII was for the PS2.

FFXIV will be launch this gen, of that much I'm sure, and it'll be a PS3 game, I'm also quite sure of that.

I also think that FFXIV will be on the PS3 but since there is already 2 FF PS3 game's in development (being FFXIII and Versus XIII) XIV will likely come about the same time that XII came to the PS2...

So a good 4-5years yet, and by then the PS3's userbase will likely be >4x what it is now!

I think it will, but XV won't. And that's sad 'cause I kinda liked the whole "3 main FF per generation" thing. It's just the right number to get the hype going, but not so much that'll make you lose interest. I would lmao if any main FF came out for the Wii.

i think it will be a ps3 game and will be released in about 5-6years, in that time probably i'll be married having two kids and no time to play.

I think for FF14 to come to PS3 it has to sell at least 40 million consoles worldwide of which 10 million in Japan.

Square stated that they adapted its Crystal Tools engine to work on Wii something they must have had a reason for.

But I think chances of FF14 coming next gen is bigger than anything. Square has to get its business in order, right now they are failing big time. They're the ONLY big company that hasn't released ANYTHING decent for any of the consoles. Biggest thing for them was Dragon Quest: Swords. Sure handheld business is doing ok, but their console strategy is dramatic.

360 is already 2.5 years on the market, Wii and PS3 1.5.
They've gambled way too much on FF13 imo. Now they see it's not in all likelyhood going to be a major success, due to PS3's install base and the enormous production costs. That wouldn't be a problem if they had something to back it up. Luckily for them DQ9 is coming (and it's probably a cheap one to make -> DS).

I really don't understand SE. Where's a 360 game? Where's a Wii game? Where's a 2008 PS3 game?

I know what you mean, if the main FF series went to the Wii i would laugh, but also cry! lol

I would likely lose interest as i just do not like the Wii hardware at all... (and to those that will say 'fanboy' or whatever, yes i have played it many times, just not for me)

2008 if we are lucky and 2009 for sure. i think thats what you meant.
