Trust me, it's all about money and releasing games on the wii will mean making more for these companies. And frankly, i dont blame them.

and in japan , the wii userbase will be more than triple the ps3, it just will make more sense economicly.

I think Square is in a tough position this generation. I believe that it was set in stone at first that FFXIV would come to PS3 this gen, but in this current situation, they'll need a little time to evaluate their position after XIII releases. They need to see how well XIII and its'spinoffs sell versus how well their Wii games sell. Even if they decide to keep it with Sony, I think this decision would stop them up long enough to necessitate delaying it to PS4.

Square will release at least 1 more 360 FF; FF13, FF13 VS, and another FF on the PS3 (most likely FF14); 2 more FF games on Wii (besides the WiiWare and endless DLC). Wii will also get Kingdom Hearts 3 which will make up for PS3 getting FF14 (or something similar).

It will come this gen, the first game learning the new hardware is the hardest to make, and then the will make FF14 in a normal time frame since they also won't be working on the Crystal Engine at the same time.

If we do see FF14 it'll probably be for Wii. I'm not really sure though, they said FNC could last 10 years...

OT: No, square is commited to the ff13 series and I garuntee that after Kitase and crew get done with 13 they'll get started on that ff7 remake,if they havent already. Imagine tgs where square enix does a double whammy with a ff13 trailer and a ff7 remake trailer. Heads would roll. The probability of this happening would be slim to none i imagine but itd be cool.

SE will no doubt make FF14 on the PS3, the amount of money already spent on the engine and everything for making games on the PS3, they will want to make as many games as possible for the system.
