Monkey Ball is probably close to a million, and High School Musical will be a million seller eventually.

Pokémon will become a million seller at the end of the summer, and I see Endless Ocean creeping towards a million too.

Dragon Quest Swords is a no-brainer, it's already at 620k and it isn't even released in the PAL regions. And finally, DDR will be a million seller when it's released in Europe (already at 440k).

As for new games, any big or fairly big Nintendo title will be a million seller, as any good and advertized 3rd party games.

The Wii will be a software monster, mark my words. In fact, it already is quite beast when compared to the Gamecube, Xbox and PS3. Only the 360 and the PS2 top it currently.

1. DDR Wii was released in Europe on March 28th.

2. Europeans aren't known for their love of RPGs, and Dragon Quest is selling barely anything.

3. All the others I agree with.

1. Really? I didn't know that. I'm still sure it will be a million seller, as it is 440k without Japan and PAL sales.

2. Hmm, you could be right, it depends on its legs. It will reach 750k for sure though.

3.

OH!!! Smarty Pants, the game is not being tracked in NA yet, but it would be make 1 million on others alone the way it is selling, I am betting it is already a million seller, or close to it.

Sadly I think gameparty will sell 1 million... it has at least 150-200k more life in NA, and 300-400 more in others....

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Don't forget

Rockband

Guitar Hero Aerosmith Edition

Cooking Mama is missing some European data so it is a millioan seller next time we get a publisher update.

Simpsons game has a good shot as i tis due for budget pricing and will keep moving with system sales.

Game Party is the next Carnival Games legs wise unless

Deca Sports could outshine Game Party and the new minigame collection of choice

We Ski/Family Ski is already over 100,000 in Japan and works with the Wiibo

Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman are guarantees due to movie tie in plus previous game success.

That is just current releases and spring releases I can think of.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

It may take a while but I see Rock Band as hitting 1 million at Christmas time.

Sims....Oh man what do I hate those games..

Congratulations to Wii for sell so good software(I mean software number)

Rock Band and Battle of the Bands could make it if they have even remotely the same success as GH3.

High School Musical (shudder) will most likely do it, the PS2 version blew past 1 million a long time ago.

There's no updated Others data on Monkey Ball but it still hovers in the European top charts so it could be another SatSR.

I'm not sure about GH Aerosmith, no idea how a band-specific GH will sell. Most likely won't have the same success as GH3.

DQS could make it. Still has some life left in America, and DQ8 sold better in European which leads me to believe that Dragon Quest is more popular there and could make the rest of the way to 1m.

Can't think of anything else...

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

think Pro Evo 09 will sell 1m this year and 08 will make 500K - we dont track Tiger Wood 08 do we? I think that must have sold near 1m or more already.

It's becoming clear that Nintendo games are fast out the gates and sell hard, fast and long but third party titles are seriously showing legs - a good thing is that although My Sims is not my type of game it's a solid (although a little shallow) debut on the Wii that will be built upon with sequels, spin offs etc and gameplay will get deeper.

The Wii needs sims titles and well made casual titles if it's going to have lasting appeal for several demographics, the PS2 had these type of titles but this gen only the Wii / DS does I think.
