Big pinch of Salt but ColtEastwood is now suggesting that MS have bought 5 studios and not 3. He was the first guy I saw that mentioned the initial 3 and then Tom Warren responded to him and then deleted his tweet were he basically agreed with him.
A lot of smoke right now. Also note that if MS counts Avalanche Studios Group as 3 separate studios then the initial rumor would stay the same (Avalanche, Systemic Reaction, Expansive Worlds).

i still believe the initial rumor that it’s only 3 with IOI, Crytek and Avalanche Studios Group with MS counter the latter as 3 separate studios. If it’s actually two more than holy hell is going to get crazy, if it is more then I predict Asobo finally decided to join and their next game which is a sequel to Plague Tale will be revealed at E3.

Damn it went to maybe one small studio to potentially 3/5, I would be very glad if it happens to be the 3 that were initially mentioned in rumors.
The Xbox E3 show just went from 0-100 really fast, it appears that Hellblade 2 and The Outer Worlds 2 will also show up according to that leaker.
Holy crap, Jeff Grubb is now saying that MS might have purchased NetherRealm and Rocksteady and thy are the rumored 4th & 5th studios.
this is getting way too crazy man, also why only those two if real? Why not also Monolith and WB Montreal?

Also...It really doesn't make any sense to me, AT&T/Discovery merger won't be complete until 2022, AT&T already confirmed their studios are going to this new Discovery merger which has yet to be approved, basically screws any chance of Microsoft acquiring them until 2022. I could believe this tbh. Remember when the Bethesda acquisition was announced it was announced that MS and Bethesda have reached an agreement to be acquired not that they had been bought.
I can see ME doing the same with the 5 rumored studios.
