Worst time for xbox live to be down.

This LinkedIn for an AMD engineer suggests that Xbox Series X has a very advanced SoC. Not only does it have the 8 Ryzen 3 CPU cores that we've heard about, it apparently has ARM CPU cores as well. ARM for the OS maybe, so that none of the Ryzen CPU is wasted on background tasks and can be put fully to use on gaming?

I'm confused about the IP part though. Sounds like he is saying that the SoC had to meet the needs of all of Microsoft's 1st party teams, but if that is the case, he mentions teams in India and China. Has MS acquired a studio in India and China secretly?

The AMD engineers need not suggest that, we know it's a very advanced SoC.

The ARM cores are new, Microsoft will likely be using them to offload tasks, similar in concept to the command processor in the Xbox One X... The IP part is more or less about how they developed the chip and the geographical extensiveness and logistics to design such a monolithic die.

No it isn't. I'm at work.

Lockheart confirmed. Look at Phil Spencer’s twitter new avatar. We will definite at some news this week.

First DLC expansion for Control will release on PS4 later this month. Release date for Xbox is June 25th.

What's the point of this kind of timed exclusivity? Complete bullshit, I want to believe Remedy has nothing to do with it. Sony can do one. Assholes.

Yup. Timed exclusive 3rd party content continues to be one of the worst inventions in gaming. They should just end that shit.

It’s even worse because epic joined as well. Nice cooperation to lock only Xbox users out of certain contain for three months.

People seem to be speculating it's actually for Series X and that it's the RAM.

People started speculation about it being Lockhart chip because it looks a bit different to what was shown as Series X chip. On the other hand it seems like the difference is most likely because of the different angle. Still, 8K label is missing here. So, who knows. Now we know that this console, be it Series S or Series X has 10 RAM chips, so most likely it will have either 16 (6x2 + 4x1 chips) or 20GB (10x2 chips) of GDDR6.

Just started this game yesterday, I waited until I found a clearance copy for $25 somewhere before I bought because of the launch timed exclusive bullshit. Had no idea DLC was timed exclusive too. 90 day timed exclusive LOL

Sony goes in hard on these shitty deals. IIRC there's a CoD one that is a year. Destiny stuff was a year. Makes it very easy to skip on some games.

Lots of new info on Xbox website. 1TB SSD confirmed. Expansion slot is confirmed as well.
