I think Crackdown 4 should be given a chance? or a reboot, I've seen many places making fun of Crackdown as a series since 2 and 3,

2 and 3 were both developed in bizarre situations, especially 3, lots of different developers on it. IIRC it was delayed for like three years. If MS were a bit more patient, they might have been able to get the original developers back for Crackdown 2 but instead went with a new company. They did have people from the original Crackdown on the team but the game was a mess and imho didn't really feel like Crackdown. I greatly enjoyed the third one, SP wise anyway, but it also was in development hell and would have benefited greatly from just having one developer make the entire game and without having to worry about cloud bullshit.

I don't see why they wouldn't make a Crackdown 4. If they're making a new State of Decay, a new Crackdown should be perfectly feasible. Idk who would make it though.

Watching the show and WOW I mean Phil cannot be clearer, he went straight to the point... Games are going to be exclusives, that's it unless they have a contract in place or maybe for MMOs...
Basically, big games from Bethesda are going to be exclusives to GamePass... He literally said that.
And then explains that the games that already have an ongoing community (MMOs, etc..) will still be on the other platform...

I mean, that was obvious from the start after investing 7.5B but now, it is confirmed :)

And yes, GamePass is really going to become "Ze" (French here :)) platform instead of Xbox. So when Microsoft talks about exclusivity, it is about GamePass, no matter if it is on Console, PC or Cloud. I like that, I really wish all their future game are "Xbox Play anywhere" with shared save/progression...

Yay, can a certain fanbase please shut up now?

That statement about Bethesda games being exclusive to platforms where Gamepass exists basically sounds like MS is giving Sony an ultimate to either allow Gamepass on PS or allow xCloud to run on PS5's web browser, or else you lose out on all Bethesda games. I don't see Sony allowing it though, which will be good for Xbox hardware, having all future Bethesda games as Xbox/PC/xCloud exclusive.

Exactly. I mean, it is now clear that games are exclusives to GamePass.
But like you said, he basically kept the room open for Sony to let their customers have the games while just allowing GamePass on their platform.

Which... is not going to happen unless they are really losing a lot of market share. Reason is that Sony will want a big % from it and Microsoft will simply say "Nope". Or if they are behind and in trouble then they will ask for less knowing that this will be huge for their customer base.

So whey didn't they just put the "If you're an Xbox customer, the thing I want you to know is that this is about delivering great exclusive games to you that ship on platforms where Game Pass exists," on the PR from the other day instead of "some games will be exclusive" would of been a lot better PR.

Didn’t expect him to actually clarify exclusivity but the answer satisfies me and his response to Parris reassures me .

That's awesome! Will they come to the PC Gamepass too?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well, it is certainly a blow to Nintendo and especially PS, but it's not like they can't survive without Bethesda games. Sony will probably double down on timed exclusives like FF 16 and get marketing rights to games like RE 8, but they will manage.

But you brought an interesting point. Bethesda games are kind of one of a kind, which makes me wonder: Will Sony make one of their developers make Fallout/Elder Scrolls/etc clones, to counter this move? Will be interesting to see.

All except The Elder Scrolls Online (Cloud, Console) and Fallout: New Vegas (Console) according to the article.

So it seems their next title is Doom for Mobile? Look at the poster on the far right, apparently (so say people in the replies) it was leaked a while ago, Lol.

Hopefully it's Doom RPG 3 then
