Seems the right decision to delay Halo especially after what was shown on XGS Showcase. On the other hand, I think the decision has been made a long time ago. They just decided to wait to announce it after showcase. Ever since Phil Spencer started coming up with the possibility of Halo delay, I think it was already decided. A huge blow to Series X though. Now, undercutting PS5 in price is mandatory for them to even have a chance to at least staying on Xbox One levels. The biggest issue is that they shouldn't have gone all in with Halo as their only launch title.

I get the delay might help the game but it also gimps the Series X launch. PS5 will have Spider-Man and unless their is a big price differential. MS prob just handed the launch to PS5.

It's been in development for XB1 for years, that was the intention. Why would they drop it now? Especially when they can't brag it was built from the ground up for XSX.
