Guys, the only logical replacement is to ramp up Grounded development and have a full game release along side the Series X

Posting anything positive about Xbox on any other thread results in a shit show :)
This thread is the only place where we can talk about Xbox in an objective way without having to deal with console wars, flaming etc...

You know you could’ve just posted your thoughts right here? Or make a thread?

Cause... Why not? I want to buy a PC now... Not in "few" weeks... :) I am not buying a PC based on Reddit comments or anything like that or based on speculations over what games will required cause of the next Xbox Series X architecture. And so far it works better that way based on every past generation SLI is working very fine for me. I am using 2 GeForce GTX 1008 SLI already and I did not see any problem with that so far. |
VRAM doesn't stack up using SLI : https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/11/1696045708661116019/
So you are going down from 11 GB VRAM to 8 GB VRAM with that "update".
8 GB VRAM may be enough for the performance level of one 1080 Ti or 2080S... but will it still be enough for the performance level of two 1080 Ti or 2080S GPUs? For 2020 games probably, but for 2021 games?
And which games do you expect to profit from 2 x 2080S compared to 2 x 1080 TI? The performance difference besides RTX games is not high. And many of the few RTX games don't support raytracing and SLI at the same time.
Also the frametimes and "1% low fps" are often worse with two cards than with one:

I was thinking of Assassin's Creed Unity. It was an unplayable disaster at launch. |
Oh well :) Never played it so I would not know!

Feel like SX/Lockhart will still sell out on launch but their legs will be hurt a lot by no Halo/1st parties on launch. On the plus side, I feel like old Xbox never would have delayed Halo, shows that they're putting game quality first, even at the cost of potentially taking a beating in next gen sales, if Halo can get delayed then any game can, which is a good thing when Microsoft has in the past released a few titles before they were ready. |
You're going to love Series X if you're coming from the piss One S OOOF. Bruh imma laugh if Cyberpunk gets delayed to March, for that 16 shit you roasted me about in here
You have a point too. I never thought they would delay Halo. They would just release it, and then fix it later. Which is the biggest problem I see from critics and rightfully so. They need to produce quality games DAY 1.
Hopefully they get a 3rd party on Game pass in the next coming weeks. I wonder if this is related to Shinobi's game pass thing? Who knows.

Literally the only good thing about 343.

You can disable SLI for any games (in the NVidia panel). I do that whenever I need it and I believe it is the same for the RTX 2080.
In any case, there is no way I'm passing on this. Not for that price :) I got a really good deal and even if I cannot use profit it for every game, it is fine by me.
Will still take a look in details about this VRAM thing, thanks for the info :) Doubt it will make me change my mind (again I'm paying the second card for like 20% of the original price) and I do not want to wait.
