Say what you will about this being a crappy gen for Xbox in terms of sales and other struggles, but it's my favorite one.
It's made gaming more social and enjoyable for me and I love the console, UI and everything. Exclusive games have been awesome and Xbox still offers the best games of my favorite genres. Operation 4 of Gears 5 made sure the king of 3rd person shooters ends the gen on a highest note.

eh I still prefer 7th gen but that's not alone on MS.
7th gen had far more awesome 3rd party games.
3 Bioshock games for 360 vs. not a single new one on X1. 3 Mass Effect games vs. 1 3 Dead Space (2 good ones) vs. 0 2 Dragon Age vs. 1 3 Batman Arkham vs. 1 2 Elder Scrolls vs. 0 2 GTA vs. 0 2 Rayman vs. 0 Multiple Valve games (Left 4 Dead 1+2, Portal 1+2, Half-Life 2) vs. 0

Yeah sure in terms of games 7th gen might be slightly better.
Rayman games were great but we had two beautiful Ori games.
Dragon Age III was better than II which was also good of course.
Skyrim was great but it has nothing on Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Only GTA game I played was V and it was meh.
Red Dead Redemption was my favorite game of 7th gen but RDR2 is even better.
Two Remedy games versus one. Alan Wake was better than QB and Control though.
Forza Horizon 3 and 4 are the best racing games.
Sea of Thieves is a game that defines 8th gen for me and there was nothing like it on 360.
But I do include backwards compatibility and remasters/remakes as advantage to 8th gen. Those make the overall gaming experience superior. MCC made me a Halo fan. And more games offer 60fps which is a huuge plus, especially for Gears of War multiplayer and also remasters like BioShock Collection & Metro Redux.
