I'd love a Series S that like compressed in like a game cube. I personally wouldn't buy it, but it would look sexy.

You went for the full 1000 GS? Don't think I'm doing that, some of the completion list looks quite grindy.

I did as much as I possibly could. No chance in hell I'm doing that 100% completion list, just because of Mahjong. Everything else was ok, minus the fucking 70+ bouncer missions.

If they ever bring 6 to Xbox, I can safely say that is the easiest one, as I got the plat on PS. No BS completion list and can cheese the legend difficulty with save scumming.

There are over 70 of them? Wow, here I was thinking I was almost done with them. Been trying to do some of the grindy stuff each day, a few clan battles, a few bouncer missions, a few coliseum battles, so that I don't have to do it all after I beat the game, but I'm clearly going to have to do more bouncer missions per day if there are over 70 of them. Coliseum is also way too grindy getting from rank A to rank S, I've already done like 12 of the Rank A battle royales since getting to rank A and I'm only halfway to S....

Also, f*ck Majong, I don't get the rules of that game at all. I cheesed it with the cheat tile for that one side quest that requires beating Mahjong, and I'm never touching it again.

I believe there are 78 bouncer missions, ooof. You have to do 26 of them three times, hence the 78; on normal, hard and legend difficulty. The difficulty doesn't really matter. And none of them are hard except the last three... Coliseum battles are a little pain too, but once you max stats and do the one before the final one, that one in particular yields some good points. But getting to that one takes time.

And yeah I tried looking up videos online, but it's so luck based too. I hate having to attempt to get 4 pairs of three plus one other pair. I just could never get the hang of it. Can't speak on 3-5 as I blew threw those not even doing side stuff, but 6 to me was a simple plat and hopefully if they bring that over to Xbox, an easy 1000. Hopefully we get confirmation of the rest of the games. Hell I'll be a bot and buy 3-5 collection just to support it 6 I would def play again. Really enjoyed that one.

Any rumors on more Yakuza to be released on Xbox? Would be awesome if we got an announcement this month for 3-6.
September: release Yakuza Collection (3-5)
October: release Yakuza 6
November: Like a Dragon

Whats the point? Aren't controller like really cheap to make? Don't imagine it would shave off much.

It is a smart marketing trick. Casuals will go there happy about the news of $250 new gen console and will end up leaving after paying $310 because the salesman told them they need to buy the new controller as well.

Not sure if it is a customer friendly approach but someone could argue it is better deal for the 50 million who have Xbox One.

My only concern is not to confuse the customer with too many options. You don't want the customer to tell the salesman "I'll check and come back". Stick to one or the other, either sell it with a controller or without it, don't offer both.

Say what you will about this being a crappy gen for Xbox in terms of sales and other struggles, but it's my favorite one.

It's made gaming more social and enjoyable for me and I love the console, UI and everything. Exclusive games have been awesome and Xbox still offers the best games of my favorite genres. Operation 4 of Gears 5 made sure the king of 3rd person shooters ends the gen on a highest note.

eh I still prefer 7th gen but that's not alone on MS.

7th gen had far more awesome 3rd party games.

3 Bioshock games for 360 vs. not a single new one on X1.
3 Mass Effect games vs. 1
3 Dead Space (2 good ones) vs. 0
2 Dragon Age vs. 1
3 Batman Arkham vs. 1
2 Elder Scrolls vs. 0
2 GTA vs. 0
2 Rayman vs. 0
Multiple Valve games (Left 4 Dead 1+2, Portal 1+2, Half-Life 2) vs. 0

Yeah sure in terms of games 7th gen might be slightly better.

Rayman games were great but we had two beautiful  Ori games.

Dragon Age III was better than II which was also good of course.

Skyrim was great but it has nothing on Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Only GTA game I played was V and it was meh.

Red Dead Redemption was my favorite game of 7th gen but RDR2 is even better.

Two Remedy games versus one. Alan Wake was better than QB and Control though.

Forza Horizon 3 and 4 are the best racing games.

Sea of Thieves is a game that defines 8th gen for me and there was nothing like it on 360.

But I do include backwards compatibility and remasters/remakes as advantage to 8th gen. Those make the overall gaming experience superior. MCC made me a Halo fan. And more games offer 60fps which is a huuge plus, especially for Gears of War multiplayer and also remasters like BioShock Collection & Metro Redux.

Aggressive trade-in deals could be a good option where MS offer you $100 (maybe a little more?) credit for your Xbox One S/SAD (console only, You keep your controller) against a $250 Lockhart that doesn't include a controller meaning you have a max of $150 to pay to upgrade and future proof your console and if that bundle contains 3 months of Gamepass it's even more value.

A little question would Microsoft require Sony's permission to allow Dualshock 4 controllers to work on next gen? Would be an interesting move to lower the cost to multi console owners or people wanting to make the jump over Xbox next gen.

A no controller option is a waste of shelf space and marketing. Parents were pissed when they had to buy a power cord for one of the later 3DS models (NN3DS?) and those were cheap $20 cables. They'll be even more pissed about $60 controllers. It might make some sense if it were like the NN3DS situation where there were already a fuck ton of 3DS consoles on the market and most buyers already had a cable at home but with the Xbone, it didn't sell amazing this gen and I'd think MS would be looking to really expand their userbase with people who didn't buy into Xbone.

But assuming the specs are close enough that it won't neuter XSX games all gen, I love the idea of a cheaper and weaker console.
