I would really be disappointed if MS goes after TikTok. I already said it here but them getting in this deal would be an act of truly unfair competition. US government literally wants to steal TikTok from Chinese startup, using national security as an excuse. MS should avoid getting themselves into this mess at any cost.

After how dull this game has looked so far, they're meant to be giving people more reasons to be interested, not less.

The advantage here is that if they buy TikTok and kill it, it means less annoying rubbish cluttering social media. 

Also, I'm doing a lot of tech 180s recently: seems Huawei phones can and will run xCloud sideloaded, gacha games seem unaffected and VNDS is obviously not a bummer. If this remains true once the actual xCloud drops, and I find the new UI and browser are gesture and adblock ready, then I will swap back to Android and Huawei at the end of the year. 

I think that's the problem, also with the online speculations: too many ifs to settle on one thing. For all we know, Live Gold paid multiplayer might be going away and they might simply keep Gold for the GWG stuff (with better GWG offerings) as a way to draw customers to the more complete GamePass.

No, you are not alone. It is yet another GaaS bullshit, which means that it's just a way to suck gamers money masked in from of a game by using some plain and basic gameplay.

I'm always bad at predictions, but I guess we'll probably get something on Monday. MS loves announcing stuff on Mondays and next week was the most commonly rumored to have something MS related.

This holding our cards to see what the other will do is getting old. Just go with whatever the lowest price you are willing to do and announce it already and get the pre-orders going. If the price is low enough the competition is probably not going to go below it. I keep watching these shows to see who is going to make the first move and it's like a prom dance where everyone is sitting down because they're too scared to hit the dance floor.
