Can you imagine if the gamepass discount would also work for steam?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I had to have it!! (picture is not mine but was lazy to make my own BK picture) ^^

It would be really hilarious if everyone genuinely was sad it was only for a temporary period and then Hryb, Spencer or someone else went and said "yeah... we like it now, so it stays this way forever" and then paid online does get discontinued.

Man, those trolls would really rake in tons of fans.

Also, since I'm still waiting on iVN to be complete, if it's not by Spring next year, I've decided I will dump media on my iPhone (and essentially just use it for the music, video/photos/videocalls/file storage/browsing/reading/streaming/delivery apps and phone services and instead just buy the highest end Huawei phone and stock it with MicroG + Sideloaded Google Play (found a good repo for that) and use that one for Vanced/VNDS and other VN reliant shenanigans/gaming/emulation and other heavy stuff and keep it around as a second phone. With some luck, I will be able to get xCloud running there and turn it into my gaming handheld.

If not, I will just skip xCloud since I am not happy with Google in general but I also just learned something that made me a bit peevish about Apple as well (but if iVN makes it through, even if only for jailbroken phones, I will change my mind).

Long story short: iOS seems to be showing signs of "Vitaitis" without the Henkaku advantage (patch shit). If this is solved, I will stay on iOS, if not, then I will jump into Huawei and give the middle finger to Google... UNLESS the Surface Duo allows us to boot to Windows 10X.

I need my visual novel machine - 100% portable!

Microsoft shooting themselves on the foot for not doing something nobody expected them to do before some insiders started spreading their knowledge..

edit. Double post.

Reserved for something cool. Stay tuned!

The shooting themselves in the foot is not because Gold isn't going free, it's because the price of Gold is going up while the price of PS+ is seemingly staying the same.

"If multiplayer isn't going free soon on Xbox, then MS shot themselves in the foot right at the start of the generation again"

This seemed to imply no free multiplayer was to be considered a shot in the foot. Rest is just jumping the gun, se don't know why 12 month subs are discontinued and how their pricing will be.

If MS is not gonna drop Gold paywall, then all these rumors insiders are spreading are gonna. hurt Xbox in a big way. Because by this point, almost everyone who follows the gaming news, expects MS to drop Gold paywall. Like, it's a given.

That Avengers quote is funny, agreed it’s very reminiscent of Xbox One original PR. I can’t imagine who thought it was a good idea to announce walled off content like this in a live game. At least wait until the game launches and you’ve already duped people into buying it.

Wow, that is some 2013 Xbox tier PR right there. Remember, the "we have a console for people who don't have an internet connection, it's called the 360". This is as bad as that.

It was so reminiscent of it it made me laugh from that alone.

Which is why I said MS needs to address the elephant in the room asap. They're allowing insiders and speculation by the fanbase to control the narrative, the longer they wait and do nothing, the more the fanbase will be whipped up into a frenzy and the more likely they are to have a riot on their hands if they announce anything but free multiplayer. Having their PR people giving stupid statements about how important Gold is and and how it's not changing is only adding further fuel to the fire.

They already have addressed it, they said Xbox Live Gold isn't going anywhere.

It isn't really Microsoft's fault if insiders spread something that isn't true when they've already denied it - If it's true then awesome, if it's false then that's a shame but hardly Microsoft's fault.

But yeah they need to fix the removal of the 12 month codes and whatnot.

Besides it feels like a lot of this 'insider' stuff comes from Microsoft removing the codes, like I said I don't think anyone even knows, they're just taking the removal of the codes and running wild with speculation, Jez said today he never said they're getting rid of Gold but says they won't roll it into Gamepass - Then what is it? Brad feels more like he is speculating than having any actual inside knowledge, not sure about the rest.

Has anyone ever attempted to jusk ask some Xbox support person what's the deal with the 12-month sub removal? I like the idea of asking them to get a response on that. A PR response would confirm they are hiding something.

I don't get why the ToS name change though. What's the point? Xbox Live Gold doesn't even feature there. Why?

Also, found my solution to the streaming issue: I'm getting a GPC Pocket bitch! I will still tinker with my iPhone and Cydia when I'm due for a phone upgrade at the end of the year anyways just to stick it to big otome.

What about Jeff Grubb though? I think he started hinting at this first.
