$20 billion?! That is more than Disney spent on Pixar, LucasFilm and Marvel combined. |
Well it is 150 million people who use it in those regions.

That ladybug had a fat ass! Low key I kinda don't want to play Grounded again until it fully releases :/ If yall want to play though, I'd still be down once those updates hit. Early access gave me a nice taste of what to expect once the full game hits.

Microsoft could open up more studios and poach WB talent across their studio. When it comes to Tik Tok... I don’t think you guys understand how much of a phenomenon this thing is. This app is still new in the West and it grew massively to the point where it shadows bigger social media apps in terms of engagement.

Business sense I get it, but for Xbox, I'd rather have WB

Tiktok is probably a better buy for MS and I like the app so I wouldn't care if they bought that instead of WB.
- I really hope MS doesn't buy TikTok. First of all, they are known to not understand how to run anything that is not enterprise. Almost every consumer oriented service they bought, ended up getting shut down afterwards or left on it's own (Mixer, Skype, Windows Phone, etc.). So if anyone wants TikTok to die, probably should wish for MS to buy them. The second problem comes with the fact that they are not buying the whole business, only part of it. And it look like it won't be split, so MS will receive a lot of problems related to how synchronize with the China-owned part of TikTok. Third problem is that it looks like it would be a very expensive investment. And the fourth problem is that to be quite honest, this whole situation with TikTok is kinda shitty from the fair competition side of things. US government just uses "ban" threats over some non-confirmed accusations of TikTok sending user data to China to literally steal a part of business from Chinese company. Not looking good especially considering how American companies have been violating the user privacy and sending their data to American intelligence agencies. And yet, no other country has voiced a proposal to buy a part of Facebook threatening to ban it. I just don't wanna MS to get involved with this shitty political stuff. I think Microsoft can and should always abide the rules of fair-play in business. But it seems like the potential increase of cloud services marketshare is way too hard to pass.
- With Sony not announcing PS5 price, looks like they are forcing MS to go first after all. Won't be surprised if Sony announces PS5 price at Gamescom. On the positive side, lots of moneyhats being announced at State of Play seems unlikely now. So, as with price, probably at Gamescom.
- MS has an upper hand in terms of accessories supports, that's great but it was expected. Sony just abusing their brand power to make everyone buy the same accessories once again. Unfortunately, doesn't seem like a huge advantage for MS, as the internet is already picking off - "it's the right thing, give a true next-gen feeling" excuse.
- New MS Store looks good, but MS needs to put the platform availability on the first "Game Details" page. I don't see this information being present right now which is not really good considering that some of the games will be Series X only. This information is very important to be very clear in order to avoid any potential backlash like "I bought this game, but it doesn't work on my Xbox".

Tbf Vine was 6 second videos while tik toks can go up to 60 seconda and the app was formerly called musickly and rebranded to tiktok. They've been able to grow and stay relevant for the last ~6 years and MS doesn't have a successful social media platform (LinkedIn excluded) Once they find a way to monetize tik tok they'll see a better return from tiktok than WB especially if they dont get the license.
They're better off poaching talent from WB like they've been doing with the initiative.

What does full timed exclusive mean? lol
Another lame moneyhat. Hopefully it's only a year.
