They are not dropping Xbox branding from GamePass actually. They are just removing the word Xbox from GamePass logo, because what's the point of having it if there is already word Xbox hidden in "Xbox" logo.

Btw, Sony event is expected to be on August 6. It looks like the chances of it ending up to be true are declining as there is less than one week remaining. If they don't announce it on Monday, then it's probably not happening next week.

Lol it makes no sense to have MP locked behind GP, they’d destroy any good will by forcing people into their subscription service, and for people not interested in GP it actually costs more. This also goes against their whole direction , they want people to get invested in their games. And it doesn’t make sense that w10 and steam can enjoy the same games but have free MP.
