Microsoft crying RN at missing this.

Jk

With X0 clearly not happening, I hope that Microsoft goes hard on TGA's, I think Redfall is likely getting a release date trailer on Halloween, but TGA can have Starfield's release date as long as it isn't delayed but also maybe a gameplay trailer for Avowed and an announce trailer for InXile's RPG? Asking for too much maybe.

And maybe move X0 to February (cope).

You want a good idea of just how bad Xbox's 1st party marketing can be for smaller games: Today's Xbox Rewards poll is "which are you more excited for, Humankind or Pentiment". Humankind is winning 75/25 in spite of it being a PC exclusive currently with the console ports delayed indefinitely, and no way to take the poll on PC that I can find. People don't even know what Pentiment is because Xbox has barely marketed it. They have at least heard of Humankind.

That's really sad. Pentiment is not only a passion project that Josh Sawyer has wanted to make for decades, but the biggest selling point of Game Pass is that it allows players to play games that they wouldn't ordinarily play. Pentiment is perfect for this service. Not only that, but it's from a major first-party Xbox studio! And with how barren Xbox's first-party lineup is this year, you'd think they would be pulling out all the stops in marketing this game.

I'm not expecting non-stop commercials or a major marketing push that rivals CoD since it is only a $20 game, but just getting the word out as much as possible. Definitely more than what they have up to this point.

My personal Xbox predictions for The Game Awards:

-Starfield trailer with Q2 release date (assuming it isn't delayed)

-Hellblade 2 new trailer with 2023 2H release window

-Avowed gameplay reveal and 2023 2H release window

-Project Belfry reveal and 2023 2H release window

I'm assuming Xbox will stick with their plan from E3 of only showing games planned to release within 1 year of each show, so doubt we will see the inXile AAA RPG or Compulsion's new IP or Fable or Perfect Dark as those are all likely 2024 releases.

Not going to lie, I don't really want to see Hellblade again at TGA's unless it's releasing very soon and a very substantial trailer, it has been there too many times and the trailers haven't told us much except it looks amazing, I'd be especially annoyed if it is Hellblade again but not Avowed (which I'm expecting is 2024).

The Peripheral (TV Series 2022– ) - IMDb

Encouraging. From the same production company and co-creators of the Fallout TV Show.

Hope it stays that way, Westworld was brilliant at the start and still has its moments of greatness but took a nosedive from Season 1 and always tends to screw up their seasons by the end of each season, it became too smart for its own good, but I don't think Fallout will have that problem, Lol. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Westworld is sorta like J.J Abrams, can open something good, gets great about midway, shits the bed with the ending, Lol.

Today is Sunset Overdrive’s 8th anniversary. What a shame the game didn’t get the love it deserved…..
