It doesn’t seem like the CMA is going to make a decision any time soon, so what is Sony waiting for? Or does the CMA have a deadline date they have to make a decision by?

From what I heard, if CMA goes all the way to phase 3, it could take until March for a final decision, and I can't see them waiting all they way till after March to do their next State of Play showcase. So I think what she is saying is that the Kojima game announce and the Silent Hill announce are hatted exclusives, and Sony has effectively delayed announcing those are exclusive by moving their reveals to separate events with a platformless announce on both. If she is right, neither game will be revealed as a PS5 exclusive until after CMA makes a decision, because they don't want the CMA to know how hypocritical they are. What she is saying makes sense because we saw that CMA was just lapping up Sony's lies like milk in phase 1, they clearly think they have an actual chance of blocking the acquisition now.
Looks like bullshit to me Tbh.
If Silent Hill is announced as exclusive at the upcoming event it literally makes no difference whether it's at a Sony event or not.
CMA will take up until Feb-March to make a decision.
Phase 2 will be a lot more competent than Phase 1 (probably) and aren't likely to give a shit about some new IP exclusives.

Phase 3 isn't a thing, Phase 2 is the final Phase, and it has a deadline of February or March with extensions, Phase 2 will make the final decision and it's a separate group of people from Phase 1 who will be looking at all the arguments from Phase 1 and deciding their merit. If Phase 2 says no, then Microsoft has to appeal to a separate entity then it gets tossed back to Phase 2 for a relook.
Last edited by Ryuu96 - on 17 October 2022Supposedly Sony has 3 hatted exclusives to announce, the Kojima game he has recently been teasing with Elle Fanning as the lead, Silent Hill, and Bioshock 4. Seems like they either have to delay them until CMA makes their final decision, or go ahead and announce them, giving Xbox further ammunition to prove their point to the CMA about Sony being anti-competitive by hatting 3rd party games off of Xbox.
Last edited by shikamaru317 - on 18 October 2022I'm fairly confident that if CMA wanted to, they could easily demand this information from Sony anyway, there is already a ton of confidential redacted information in both Brazil and UK's reports from all parties involved that is not meant for public. So, I don't buy this rumour at all. CMA can probably fairly easily find out what Microsoft/Sony have planned. Heck, Microsoft themselves probably know a few and can tell CMA, Lol.

Yeah there will likely be some fun information come out that neither Sony or Microsoft would want made public by the end of this.
A Senior Rocksteady dev has come out talking crap about the Series S when the controversy of how Gotham Knights will run at a locked 30fps on all consoles. Says it’ll hamper this entire generation, despite admitting he has no idea how development on Gotham Knights went lol
