I think the issue is more that CMA like Sony is perhaps wanting an indefinite deal...That's how I interpreted it at least, CMA is looking into what Microsoft could do in the far future and rolling deals don't have to be renewed. They want Microsoft to sign an agreement which says "we will never remove CoD from PlayStation" is how I took it.

This will never happen tho. Like there is no world where this could happen :) Not when you buy a company and their assets for 69$ B.
Sony just chosen to be really aggressive and to go at war with Microsoft now. I am not sure why their CEO did that but this is a door they will not be able to close now. Sony should just take the deal to be honest; cause the deal is going through no matter what.
