If Jez is right and Minecraft is a rolling deal, then I'm even more convinced that CoD is staying multiplatform and that "3 years" only means "re-negotiate every 3 years"

I don't think Microsoft's 3-year stipulation is an indication that it will go exclusive, nor do I think them not wanting to sign a legally binding contract is proof that it will go exclusive, it's just being smart, never lock yourself into a certain decision forever because you don't know how things can change in the future.

Will CMA allow them based only on their word? I don't know but I firmly believe if they blocked the deal based on CoD maybe going exclusive in the future then they would get hammered in court. Though it likely won't come to that, Imo.

I think the issue is more that CMA like Sony is perhaps wanting an indefinite deal...That's how I interpreted it at least, CMA is looking into what Microsoft could do in the far future and rolling deals don't have to be renewed. They want Microsoft to sign an agreement which says "we will never remove CoD from PlayStation" is how I took it.
