The thing is, even if you don't like the style of a game, it's on game pass. So honestly, it's a very low barrier to try new games. I've played so many new games this year and last because of game pass, some of which were meh and I wouldn't play again and others I became a big fan of.

Game of the show

Damn it's only been a year since I played Persona... am I forgetting what it looked like completely?

I get it, but sadly some of the games you listed are probably never coming - Sakura Wars for example flopped really hard on Playstation. This game is dead and probably not coming to any other platforms in the future because of that. SEGA won't revisit it because there is no point if there is no interest in the series even on Playstation

I was under the impression that Sakura Wars sold better than the PS2/Wii Sakura Wars game, So Long My Love. Last I heard it sold more than 200k units in Japan alone. I have also heard rumors that the Sakura Wars team at Sega CS2 is already working on a sequel.

You are right about 200k, maybe I was wrong about it being a flop, so there still might be a chance. I remember that I wanted to try this game when it got released, but damn, Sega, what were you thinking releasing it the same month as Persona 5 Royal, so I ended up skipping Sakura Wars

After a re-watch, I'm now bumping my score up to 7.5.

Fucking need it now.

I see why the game was delayed. It looks pretty much done, but it needs some extra polish and optimization.

I feel like the first few minutes was what I expected, then suddenly they kept showing more and more, and the scale of this game really shocked me by the end. It truly seems ambitious. But that also concerns me with Bethesda and the potential technical issues.

In my mind, it now ranges from a game that could be best of the generation, but could also be biggest disappointment/frustration. This could be the killer app that helps set Xbox apart this gen.

Yep, it was laggy sometimes, I was wondering if the stream had issues, but nope, it was the game

Rewatching Starfield.

+ Holy Shit It's Massive! (1,000 Planets!)

But...is it too massive?

The exploration will make or break this game tbh, and if there's not enough interesting shit to find/do on these worlds, or the game isn't very good about guiding you towards points of interest in what are otherwise potentially very empty worlds...it could be very bad.

Give me some custom bumper stickers.

I wonder what the max size will be. 40k battleship?

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I said this in the other thread aswell but if base automation is anything like factorio. Basebuilding/economics on a galaxywide scale alone is going to get 100s hours of playtime

I wonder if JP Games is another target for Xbox.

Easy opportunity to get in like with Kojima, a new studio that needs financing for projects they want to make, from a known industry person, although, Tabata seems like a mixed bag, Lol. But Microsoft should take what they can get, they have two large projects in development, each with a large partner, could be Sony, or Square, one could be Microsoft, could be like Kojima who is working with both Microsoft and Sony right now (rumours about Death Stranding 2).

I'd say that Japanese games are becoming more of a focus for Xbox. Helps diversify the catalog to their existing games, and the porting costs can't be that high. I think it was pretty cool to see that Phil's first appearance was talking about Japanese games. Introducing that Team Ninja game, Kojima, and then Persona.

He even talked about the importance of bringing over more Japanese games.

Feels great to be recognized
