Definitely seems like Avowed will not be a 1:1 comparison to Elder Scrolls.

That sounds fine to me. The teaser reveal made it look like a straight up Skyrim clone, so setting it several Earth centuries later than Skyrim technologically speaking with muskets and flintlock pistols would be a good way to differentiate it instead of having it only be melee weapons, bows, and magic just like Skyrim. And of course swords and bows and magic will all still be options as seen in the teaser trailer, for those who want to go old school, you can fire a bow faster than a flintlock pistol or musket afterall. 

The teaser immediately made me forget that you had muskets and flintlock pistols in the second PoE game so it makes complete to have this change of weaponry. Which is great to me. It already makes me remove the Skyrim clone talk so that Avowed will be able to stand on its own. I can't wait to finally see gameplay!

This was a very interesting video regarding Xbox Series DRM. Especially if you still prefer physical media. Smart Delivery games seem to be the crutch as to why games aren't fully on the disc and you need to have that initial online connection to play an offline game. But, if you play Series X/S only game, like the recent re-re-release of GTA V, the entire game is on the disc and is completely playable offline since Smart Delivery is not required.

Xbox really needs to reign in Blizzard once the acquisition is finished, they are out of control with their monetization these days. It's bad enough that Overwatch 2 is sticking with the outdated lootbox model instead of switching to the modern season pass + direct purchase cosmetic model the other shooters use these days, but what they have done with Diablo Immortal is like 3 levels of shitty beyond that.

Makes me concerned about Diablo IV. I doubt it'll be as egregious as Immortal, but we already know the game will have seasons that'll come with its own MTX cosmetics as well as online DRM. Not the best start as Blizzard hasn't clarified if Diablo IV will be FTP or full priced.
