I wish them luck with Contraband and I hope it does well but they aren't a studio I can have confidence in yet.

I don't want to rag on them too hard but it's a CG trailer from a studio who doesn't have a great history.

It's not like Xbox hasn't put out mid games prior to 2021, they were pretty much memed throughout the xbox one gen for it. 2021 was clearly an outlier, just looking at 2022. They'd probably fit in well with their open world expertise, replacing crackdown. Imma need you to play these mid games at least as well :) 

And tbf we have studios now that have yet to really prove themselves, like Compulsion. Even Undead Labs, as well even with their CGI trailer. PG and Fable and a few others. 

And nah, no meme. Really enjoyed Mad Max after I gave it more of a chance. Have Just Cause 3 and 4 on my wishlist waiting to buy come Black Friday.

Hmm, I doubt I'll watch it live this year. It's usually on at like 2-3am in the morning on a Monday morning before a work week....

Then again, I say that every time so we'll see.

Am feeling myself get excited. Trying not to expect too much.

So, Diablo Immortal definitely has every monetizable business model in the mobile video game books the gameplay is fun, but it really steers you to spending money. Finished a rift and it took me straight to the store afterwards saying I now had the opportunity to make a one time payment for some orbs lol. Also, it's crashed on me a few times on PC lol so still in beta for sure. But, it truly is a mobile game in the worst ways, despite feeling like a really good Diablo game.

Actually, according to Jez, Contraband was originally scheduled for 2021
