I'm surprised we haven't heard about crossplay and cross progression for ESO yet for Xbox/PC at least anyway, I've been waiting for it to happen to get back into it again.

Expand Bethesda Austin then and let them lead it, Lol.

I'm.....not so sure that they're the best choice lol mainly due to them fronting the development of Fallout 76.....

Todd Howard: Making Starfield Was Now Or Never, Even If Elder Scrolls 6 Had To Wait - IGN

Bethesda Game Studios Is Committed to Single-Player Games - IGN

Starfield is in a state where they can play the whole game but it's not just polishing left still.

He spoke a little on Bethesda's development too, that his team is responsible for mainline entries and work on one main project at a time with smaller groups working on something else which we know, he also said though that he likes for pre-production to last around 2 years and full team production lasts for around 12-24 months.

Sounds like Todd came up with the concept (original story) for Indiana Jones and handed it over to MachineGames but as Executive Producer he only checks in on the team once a week - once a month, he's still involved creatively but it sounds like he's mostly handed it over to MachineGames.

About that date...Elder Scrolls VI will enter full team production only after Starfield ships but when? Few months? Year? Does it count as full team if a large chunk is working on DLC? Lol. I'm still going with a Holiday 2025 release but it's interesting to know anyway, pre-production and production lasts around the same amount of time for Bethesda.

Holiday 2025, yep this is where we are now. In the first 17 years they released 5 Elder Scrolls games, now it'll take 14 years from Skyrim to its sequel.

17 years = 5 games.

31 years = 6 games.

Lol

Exact same model Rockstar has decided to copy.

I knew that they were interested in buying EA back then but 6 Billion? With inflation that would have been more that what they purchased Bethesda for this year.

The fact that they were really willing to spend that much on Xbox that early on really makes it a shame that they weren’t able to acquire anyone. Imagine just how different the generations would have been.

FH5 is easily my game of the year. The best Horizon so far. Love how they re did the story, the progression feels more natural. I like the stories as well as they bring a different layer, some competition which gave me a FH1 vibe. Graphics are incredible, and there are so many great QoL changes. I love with the car collection, you can just press y to buy a car, the aesthetic is so nice. Put in an insane amount of hours so far. Definitely going to be a game I keep on my SSD until FH 6 probably.

I can't wait for Fable to see what it looks like and what they do.

In FH5 how do I access the mode with the community made arcades tracks?

Also really enjoying FH5 so far, definitely my GOTY so far. I'm honestly baffled as to why it has about the same meta score as FH4, I am seeing numerous improvements over FH4 already, enough that it seems like it should be at least 2 or 3 meta points about FH4:

  • More content on release (better car list)
  • Larger map
  • Improved weather (sandstorms are really cool)
  • Significantly better graphics
  • Voiced player character with more storyline
  • Improved customization system
  • Less clothing on the prize wheel
  • More challenging bonus boards
  • More environment pieces are destroyable than ever before, making it much harder to break a skill chain with an accidental crash
  • Significantly improved car audio

The only downgrade I see is that fast travel seems to have taken a huge nerf, in FH4 you could fast travel to any point on the map, but as far as I can tell you can only fast travel to Festival locations in FH5. Baffling change honestly. It was nice in FH4, particularly while bonus board hunting, to be able to fast travel anywhere. Having to drive everywhere, with the larger map size in FH5, kind of sucks.

Edit: Looked it up, seems you have to buy a certain house before you can fast travel anywhere.

Yeah you need that house. For some reason I was under the impression you needed all roads, but that 2 mil house is all you need. This was also the first in the series, I actually tried to improve my drifting. Got that 294 stars cheevo.

Also, I'm at 577/578 roads.. still can't find the last one. I'm grateful the cheevo is allows like 5 roads and the the final accolade isn't much anyway.
