Well, not only did Xbox lose their timed exclusivity on Hello Neighbor 2, but now Sony has a timed exclusive beta, smh. Not that I'm particularly interested in the game personally, the first was quite meh, but it's pretty embarrassing to both lose timed exclusivity and let your chief competitor get a timed exclusive beta.

First one was absolute dogshit so I won't give a single fuck about this.

Not sure why this is something bad when every game is a case by case basis. Only so much money going around, if the last game was poor not sure why MS should care about some beta from the same studio.  Best to put that money towards something else.

We not done yet Xbox!!!!

Good gets though.

Finished up New Dawn minus one co op cheevo. Overall, it was a pretty decent exp for my money's worth. I wasn't a big fan of the twins, still not sold on silent protags, and some of the story i feel should have been more focused on the other villain. I kind of digged the post apocalypse setting as well.

Definitely going to take a break on Far Cry for now (until it's $20 on Amazon). Really hope for MC for that talks like 3, 4 and Primal. Not looking forward to the clothing perks... but am intrigued by the main villain, which should be the selling point for the series or at least a major aspect.

So far: Vaas > Seed> Pagan
||Pagan would be higher if he didn't just shit talk you on the radio for most of the game.|| And I'm struggling to think of many villains that are on Vaas' level in general. I'm still finding myself going to youtube to watch his lines again. Incredible performance.

In terms of games:

Primal > 4 > 5 > 3 > New Dawn

3 would easily be the best if it was remade on even the New Dawn, or 5 engine. With QoL improvements, and 60 fps.

Overall for Ubisoft:

AC > Far Cry > Watch Dogs for me.

With Ubisoft's current direction, I'm a little nervous about these series of games. Maybe I got in right when it's going to end for me.

I thought about jumping in too but rather tired of the ubisoft open world formula at this point.

I'm not sure about all that other stuff but I've long been in favour of dropping the 30% cut to something more reasonable, these billion $ companies raking in billions in profits every quarter do not need to take a 30% cut, I don't know about the rest but I fully believe that Xbox and others can and should drop their cut to something like 15-20%

I also think I may be in favour of games/apps using their own payment systems for in-app purchases too but I'm not in favour of sideloading entire stores into another store, like having EGS inside of Android, I mean, Steam on Xbox would be interesting but I fear we'd end up with hundreds of different stores and it will be a nightmare.

Actually I'm debating with myself on in-app purchases now, Lol, all I know for certain is I'm 100% in favour of the cut being dropped lower.

The thing that is rarely being brought up for some reason is that almost every store has lowered the cut to 15% or even 12% for small projects already (below 1$ m. in revenue). I can't care less about big companies like Microsoft, Netflix, etc. paying 30%. There is nothing wrong about it IMO.

Yes, Sony actually did Microsoft the favour here if they indeed bought out marketing rights for this game. It's one of these cases when associating your platform with such games is a total embarrassment.

I'm not saying that the first game was timed exclusive Xbox and then now the sequel is timed exclusive Playstation, that would be perfectly normal I agree, as each game deal is a case by case thing. This is something totally different, Hello Neighbor 2 had already been announced as Xbox timed exclusive on an Xbox E3 show as I recall, and yet now, the developer has dropped Xbox timed exclusivity and has given Sony a Playstation exclusive beta. This is would basically be the equivalent of Square Enix changing their minds about the already announced PS5 timed exclusivity on FF16 and deciding to release the game day one on Xbox Series with an exclusive Xbox Series demo before release.

But I agree, Hello Neighbor is nothing much to worry about, the first game got awful reviews, though it did sell well.

You believe that the developer dropped MS but could it be the other way around.  Meaning that MS lost interest in the game and thus did not look to help fun it.  If this was some huge game that was suppose to come to the MS system and Sony was able to change its direction to playstation I guess we could care but even then, who knows how these deals go about.  I am sure MS keeps tabs on the direction of games they help fun and thus if the games are not looking so hot they probably can and will move on.

Ya know what MS lost interest in? Cross Fire X, yikes.

Yeah, I do think something weird happened there, I swear Microsoft was originally the publisher but now Smilegate is and from what I've read, the multiplayer is downright awful, the Campaign doesn't seem that good either, doesn't feel like Microsoft, Smilegate or Remedy had confidence in it.

I know i shouldn't be bothered, but my Lord twitter is a cesspool. One shit game on gamepass and the service is trash. smh.

That "leaker" Tidux was teasing an acquisition today. Wonder if it will happen...

Nvm: That was last week, lol. I don't even remember if there was an acquisition last Friday though...
